**** BEGIN LOGGING AT Fri May 10 03:01:14 2019 May 10 09:54:25 I'm trying to install Ubuntu 18.04.2 on Solidrun Macchiattobin using EDK2 (EFI). I'm running into some issues. 1) When choosing "ACPI" (instead of DTB) I can get the installer to work ... but it won't detect network nor disks. 2) using DTB I can't get the installer to work, not even with the HWE kernel option. May 10 09:55:27 https://8n1.org/15151/13cb <- this is the last output I get on the serial console May 10 09:59:21 Any hints? May 10 11:47:27 Ubuntu 19.04 doesn't do any better for that matter May 10 13:02:10 if you can get the installer to start, it means ou can get linux to start, which means you should have a dmesg to look it and maybe find out how to make the ethernet or storage work. May 10 13:02:58 you could also attach network devices and storages via usb, or storage via sata, microsd, emmc. May 10 13:04:04 personally i'd rather start with the images marvell provides just to see which drivers they load, which module parameters they apply, how they boot. May 10 13:13:27 tomreyn: I know which drivers they load, as I have also an mcbin running 18.04 booted through u-boot ... but with a custom buld kernel May 10 13:15:52 5.0-rc1 ... but 19.04 ships with 5.0 kernel if I'm not mistaken, so I would expect, by know, it would be able to detect all the hardware. The custom kernel is build with defconfig May 10 13:16:27 yes 19.05 comes with 5.0.x May 10 13:16:33 *19.04 May 10 13:30:35 I did manage to install debian buster RC ... **** ENDING LOGGING AT Sat May 11 02:59:57 2019
