**** BEGIN LOGGING AT Tue May 06 02:59:58 2014 May 06 15:27:08 so a little while back (couple of weeks) I was noting how poor my pre3's battery life appeared to be... since then I've done some testing, and the 'keep wifi on when sleep' is what chews it - at a rate roughly of '100% battery in 12 hours'. With wifi off during sleep, and an otherwise idle phone, looks like I get about a week May 06 17:48:30 yea, whether that's a win is dependent on what your phone does May 06 17:49:12 how much data, whether you have constant data going over wifi/cell when sleeping, etc May 06 21:56:23 dwc-: well, wifi whilst sleeping was eating the battery when doing nothing at all. No data... I imagine if I want wifi data to work whilst the phone is asleep, I'm basically screwed May 06 23:00:09 or you toss it on a charger more often May 06 23:01:07 I suspect for most users, they have facebook/tweets/emails/etc coming in or being checked for and for them, running over wifi might be less of a power hog than over cellular May 07 00:05:00 dwc-: maybe, but "toss it on a charger" isn't viable if it can't last 12 hours when doing nothing at all May 07 00:06:57 all that said, it's all rather academic. I want to find a use for the pre3, but at this point, do not in fact have one. I'm just enjoying having resurrected it :) **** ENDING LOGGING AT Wed May 07 02:59:58 2014
