**** BEGIN LOGGING AT Wed Dec 31 02:59:58 2014 Dec 31 04:17:59 Hey, I’ve tried restarting my N4 from the long-hold-power-button menu, and from the command line “shutdown -r now”, but neither works. What’s next? Dec 31 04:18:27 Does the N4 have a removable battery? Dec 31 04:18:48 I’m not sure. Dec 31 04:22:56 Not without some tools I don’t have. Dec 31 04:25:35 kinda shooting from the hip here but can you try a kill for all processes first Dec 31 04:25:37 then reboot? Dec 31 04:26:12 What are the args to killall for that? Dec 31 04:27:19 actually Dec 31 04:27:25 Can you use -h for halt? Dec 31 04:27:36 shutdown -h now Dec 31 04:28:04 that's a shutdown though Dec 31 04:28:04 I ran killall -r '.*' and now adb shell can’t reconnect. Dec 31 04:28:19 did the system go down? Dec 31 04:28:26 or is it just hanging Dec 31 04:28:43 Hey, got a battery w/ lightning bolt on a black screen! Dec 31 04:28:56 That’s some kind of powered off Dec 31 04:29:01 haha Dec 31 04:29:05 I think I helped! Dec 31 04:29:15 KILL KILL KILL Dec 31 04:29:16 lol Dec 31 04:29:25 \o/ Dec 31 04:29:33 * DougReeder smiles Dec 31 04:30:46 Of course, you wanted a reboot. Dec 31 04:31:02 I bet there's an option in killall that might invoke a reboot instead Dec 31 04:45:13 Morphis, the PR that adds a test of getCurrentPosition is at https://github.com/webOS-ports/org.webosports.app.testr/pull/7 Dec 31 05:24:42 hey bonus, i got a keyboard case for a galaxy tab 10.3, and after i removed the giant plastic housing for the tablet itself, the case fits a touchpad perfectly, just need to find some way to affix the touchpad to the case. Dec 31 05:29:20 not bad having a more full keyboard for $5 and perhaps $1 for the superlock i'm going to affix it with. Dec 31 05:29:48 too bad the touchpad didn't have magnets in it's charging setup Dec 31 07:10:50 hmm. i'm noticing the newer androids, 4.4 and 5.0.2 both seem to have the same very brief touch lag that i'm seeing in lune. ugh. Dec 31 08:36:03 DougReeder: On the N4: The device restart/shut down needs some tweaking (takes minutes currently to work). Quickest way is to just hold power button for 15-20 secs and it'll do a hard power off. Dec 31 08:36:27 When you power on and get the battery press power on again and you'll get the Google logo and it'll boot LuneOS Dec 31 08:58:35 morphis: I deleted the unneeded RSSI images and PR is updated for this. Will reach out to Benjamin to get the rssi bars sorted as well, should be very easy ;) Dec 31 09:21:02 morphis: Another Pastebin for the focus problem with Enyo 2.5.1 with DougReeder's Testr PR: http://pastebin.com/RTLdeL1C Dec 31 09:21:33 DougReeder: Seems we have an issue with focus on input fields for Enyo 2.5.0 and higher. 2.4.0 and lower work OK Dec 31 09:21:45 Seems that the focus handling is done differently somehow Dec 31 09:22:03 Causes VKB to show/hide and not to enter values Dec 31 09:22:59 Herrie: #777 gone with 2.4.0? Dec 31 09:31:18 nizovn: no Dec 31 09:31:45 ok Dec 31 09:32:05 Tofe fixed the top row of vkb recently so it shows the popup, but anything in the popup location is now not tappable Dec 31 10:19:34 Been looking at the Enyo 2.4 and 2.5 sources for differences, nothing changed for Input and RichText for Enyo core and Onyx, so I suspect it has to do with the changes in dom\Control.js or elsewhere to be the culprit Dec 31 10:48:01 OK did some more testing, Enyo 2.5.1 sampler works OK in browser, also the GH-pages branch works OK in browser. According to DougReeder Testr works OK in legacy as well. So I think we should "fix" how luna-webappmanager handles the VKB Dec 31 11:12:20 OK created bug for it: http://issues.webos-ports.org/issues/779 Dec 31 11:38:19 Herrie: I agree with your analysis for the vkbd bug, I'll have to get a close look at it Dec 31 11:38:57 I'm a bit surprised by "anything in the popup location is now not tappable", because it should be tappable when the popup isn't shown Dec 31 11:40:00 morphis: no, changes waiting, I didn't have the time to finish the tabs for the launcher Dec 31 11:40:11 Tofe: we have 2 bugs: 1 the popup location(annoying not that critical #777), another one is more critical which is #779 Dec 31 11:40:26 Basically input via VKB is completely broken once we upgrade apps to Enyo 2.5.1 Dec 31 11:40:51 yes, that latter one I agree Dec 31 11:41:05 the former one I must have missed it, let me see Dec 31 11:42:10 oh, ok, well, I must have done smthg wrong with the height computation yes Dec 31 12:00:57 Tofe: could be, easiest tested with Memo app ;) Dec 31 12:18:33 Herrie: shall I merge the 4x icons for the cardshell or should I wait a bit? Dec 31 12:40:31 No you should be able to merge those Dec 31 12:40:53 There will be RSSI (signal) ones tomorrow but will do a seperate PR for those Dec 31 14:42:22 Herrie: thanks for the bug reports! Dec 31 14:42:42 btw. the WAN icon will not be present when you don't activate it via connmanctl Dec 31 14:42:51 we're still missing the auto activation Dec 31 14:43:03 but what you see by default is the telephony signal indicator Dec 31 15:02:55 It was for me on first boot when I didn't activate it! Dec 31 15:03:10 Telephony signal inicator is gone Dec 31 15:03:13 THat's what I mean Dec 31 15:03:51 The telephony signal indicator is gone with me Dec 31 15:23:50 Herrie: seems to be due the needed services not being up at that time Dec 31 15:25:41 OK hmmz Dec 31 15:25:52 When they become available it should start showing them I guess? Dec 31 15:26:04 Or we need to make sure they're available earlier :P Dec 31 15:26:19 * DougReeder_ waves good morning Dec 31 15:32:23 DougReeder_: GM Dec 31 15:32:32 Saw my comments on N4 & Testr? Dec 31 15:32:49 Herrie: I have a fix already pending Dec 31 15:32:56 need to test it a bit Dec 31 15:32:57 * DougReeder_ nods Dec 31 15:33:01 Herrie: no Dec 31 15:33:36 morphis: No on what? Dec 31 15:33:49 BTW Benjamin will have high res RSSI graphics done tomorrow Dec 31 15:33:57 Together with the recording icon Dec 31 19:20:11 hi Dec 31 19:25:43 thec2g: Hi Dec 31 19:28:24 Im trying to work on porting luneos to droid 3....but the tutorial on wiki seems incmplete **** ENDING LOGGING AT Thu Jan 01 02:59:59 2015
