Jul 06 06:18:22 Morning! **** BEGIN LOGGING AT Mon Jul 06 06:29:51 2020 **** BEGIN LOGGING AT Mon Jul 06 06:43:26 2020 Jul 06 09:39:19 Tofe: Hmmz seems that my Tenderloin over time still gets unresponsive with new libhybris :S Jul 06 09:39:33 So I guess I'll test that one with older libhybris and QtBase fix for now **** BEGIN LOGGING AT Mon Jul 06 10:25:02 2020 Jul 06 11:43:53 Herrie: I understand; it's a bit sad that we can't get rid of this old libhybris Jul 06 11:44:23 I wonder which commit is to blame **** BEGIN LOGGING AT Mon Jul 06 11:50:28 2020 Jul 06 12:04:01 Tofe: Yeah, I reworked the PR'S a bit. Wayland needs to be machine dependant now it seems as a result to avoid issues with duplicate wayland-egl binaries. Though this doesn't seem to affect qtbase/webengine so build time wise it shouldn't have too much impact hopefully Jul 06 12:04:11 Let's see what JaMa has to say Jul 06 12:22:44 ah, having wayland MACHINE_ARCH isn't great Jul 06 12:23:19 I'd prefer patching libhybris on tenderloin to remove wayland-egl there Jul 06 12:53:28 Tofe: Yeah also possible Jul 06 13:12:35 Tofe: It should be sufficient to just take the configure.ac changes right? https://github.com/libhybris/libhybris/commit/1b6090ad6e420fe2139685e0af54fd94edb7d049 Jul 06 13:14:13 Ah and a few more in hybris/egl/platforms/common/Makefile.am and hybris/tests/Makefile.am it seems Jul 06 13:14:17 Let me try something then Jul 06 13:16:04 Herrie: right Jul 06 13:16:13 (at least that's what I planned to propose) Jul 06 13:19:22 OK let me create a fork, branch, hard reset to tenderloin commit, then apply changes, create .patch and test it ;) Jul 06 13:29:50 ok :p Jul 06 13:30:56 Testing now Jul 06 13:31:19 Seems the code for testing doesn't really apply, at least there's quite some difference so only changed the 2 other files for now for testing Jul 06 13:47:16 automake/autoconf is always such a pleasure to work with Jul 06 13:53:36 Tofe: Well this is an easy patch in general :P Jul 06 13:53:48 striplevel was bothering me a bit but it works now Jul 06 14:01:20 Tenderloin builds OK, now testing Hammerhead will then do mido Jul 06 14:03:19 ok, great, and then we can just drop this awful wayland bbappend Jul 06 14:09:13 Tofe: Ok updated PR's Jul 06 14:09:20 Now going to pick up kids while it's building Jul 06 14:19:54 Didn't runtime test it yet though Jul 06 15:31:16 Seems Hammerhead & Mido build fine. Jul 06 15:31:25 I'll test the Tenderloin image now to make sur eit's OK **** BEGIN LOGGING AT Mon Jul 06 16:19:53 2020 Jul 06 17:01:38 Tofe: Runtime on Tenderloin is interesting with old libhybris and qtbase patch.... Jul 06 17:01:50 I don't get any crashes but firstuse also doesn't show up :S Jul 06 17:02:12 journal: https://paste.ubuntu.com/p/6D7TZ3CMK5/ Jul 06 17:02:28 I guess this might be a clue: Jul 06 16:59:45 tenderloin LunaAppManager[1189]: void LuneOSWindow::show() initialized false Jul 06 17:04:50 No apps visually launch actually.... QML nor web... Jul 06 17:07:58 Or very briefly and disappear :S Jul 06 18:52:11 Tofe: On the bright side, lxc 4 seems to boot without issues on Mido and Tenderloin. Will test Hammerhead as well and then just PR **** BEGIN LOGGING AT Mon Jul 06 19:25:31 2020 Jul 06 19:37:55 OK those LXC pr's done Jul 06 19:42:30 Seems to work ok on Hammerhead, Tenderloin and Mido so I'd say OK to merge **** BEGIN LOGGING AT Tue Jul 07 02:52:41 2020 **** ENDING LOGGING AT Tue Jul 07 02:59:58 2020
