Jul 26 23:40:12 <halfhalo-work> a node package is a script/collection of node scripts that act as a stand alone app (usually).  They do not work with services unless you know EXACTLY what you are doing and how all the node parts talk to each other and the service bus, and even then its not pretty.  and most packages/modules are for newer node only, not the shipping version.

Jul 26 23:44:04 <halfhalo-work> no, we HAVE the full node runtime on device, but you have to start doing some fancy stuff to tie that into applications.  if you just want to have it a standalone process, then the on device node acts just like on server node, but no real service integration
