Nov 26 07:49:06 good morning Nov 26 07:51:29 hello Nov 26 09:47:16 2go> Hi, i am trying to include this into my recipes, couldsomeone assist me on what i need to do? https://github.com/Freescale/chromi um-imx 2go> I am using this to build chromium: https://github.com /OSSystems/meta-browser/tree/master/recipes-browser/chromium Nov 26 15:02:09 andrewsh: o/ Nov 26 15:02:09 fledermaus: hey :) Nov 26 15:02:48 almost a full house. Nov 26 15:04:14 rahc was here yesterday Nov 26 15:04:38 hi folks! I have some recipes in a layer that use SRCREV_pn-${PN} = ${AUTOREV} for tracking upstream repos during development. I’m fine with them, but now I need to pin revisions in order to create an immutable release. Trying to do so in my local.conf (which my layer also provides a template for), but I’m getting “WARNING: Variable key SRCREV_pn-${PN} (${AUTOREV}) replaces original key” warnings from bitbake. What’s wrong? Would be fine to pin them a Nov 26 15:04:38 in a single place instead of committing SRCREV = in each recipe Nov 26 15:06:35 the error is saying you did something like: Nov 26 15:06:43 SRCREV_pn-${PN} = 'value' Nov 26 15:06:44 and Nov 26 15:06:52 SRCREV_pn-mypkg = 'value' Nov 26 15:07:06 depending on load order.. if ${PN} becomes 'mypkg' it may or may not override the other one. Nov 26 15:07:07 joshuagl: oh, he's here now. Nov 26 15:07:11 full house it is. Nov 26 15:07:27 you need to define them both using the same value otherwise you will get a warning as the system can't be sure which one you really wanted or which order it will evaluate in Nov 26 15:14:38 fray: ok! true: in local.conf I’m explicitly setting SRCREV_pn-mypkg = 'value' while in mypkg’s recipe I use SRCREV_pn-${PN} = 'value’. Should I change the recipe and use ‘mypkg’ instead of ${PN}? Nov 26 15:18:15 uhmmm… I think i’m getting confused why my recipe sets SRCREV_pn instead of SRCREV itself… could this be the root of confusion? :-/ Nov 26 16:54:16 damnit Nov 26 16:54:18 damnit! Nov 26 16:54:26 lol Nov 26 16:54:42 it's all the same failure so far Nov 26 17:34:24 hi folks Nov 26 17:35:07 does anybody know why a default imx28 core-image grabs the bluez stuff by default? Nov 26 17:35:21 I don't have bluez nor bluetooth in DISTRO_FEATURES Nov 26 17:37:15 otavio, ^^ :D Nov 26 17:40:57 LocutusOfBorg1: do you have bluetooth in MACHINE_FEATURES ? Nov 26 17:54:26 nope Nov 26 17:54:54 MACHINE_FEATURES = "apm usbgadget usbhost vfat" Nov 26 17:55:09 distro features are not even enabled Nov 26 17:55:17 I suppose somewhat is ppicking the default Nov 26 17:55:27 so I did something like this DISTRO_FEATURES_DEFAULT := "ext2 usbgadget usbhost wifi zeroconf" Nov 26 17:55:34 and maybe now it won't pick bluetooth anymore Nov 26 18:20:18 LocutusOfBorg1: check build history and see what is depending on i Nov 26 18:20:20 LocutusOfBorg1: check build history and see what is depending on it Nov 26 18:23:08 happy yocto turkey/tofu day! Nov 26 20:23:29 looks like I managed to trigger compiler bug on NIOS2 using x11vnc, sigh Nov 26 21:01:10 morning all Nov 26 21:04:59 * nerdboy mails bluelightning a turkey leg Nov 26 21:05:48 bluelightning: reminds nerdboy that he is vegetarian ;D Nov 26 21:06:00 s/:// Nov 26 21:06:07 tofu leg... Nov 26 21:06:11 heh Nov 26 21:07:01 and a pizza Nov 26 21:07:42 * nerdboy remembers someone who likes to order a whole pizza for himself... Nov 26 21:08:27 that pizza was rather large... I never did eat all of it Nov 26 21:27:57 bluelightning: hey! already in NZ ? :) Nov 26 21:28:30 Marex: indeed yes Nov 26 21:28:37 Marex: how are you? Nov 26 21:29:25 btw I regret we didn't have a chance to catch up further over beer at ELCE; maybe a future conference hopefully Nov 26 21:32:11 bluelightning: awesome :-) Nov 26 21:32:31 bluelightning: well, regret not, I might eventually wind up closer than you might think Nov 26 21:32:57 ah ok, sounds interesting.. ? Nov 26 21:32:59 bluelightning: I'm doing great, submitting patches all around the place btw :) Nov 26 21:33:08 nice :) Nov 26 21:33:10 bluelightning: well, japan is my dream destination :) Nov 26 21:33:23 bluelightning: how're you doing yourself? happy to be back home I guess ? :) Nov 26 21:33:28 ah yes I wondered if you were referring to that, are you any closer to your dream? Nov 26 21:33:38 bluelightning: kind of Nov 26 21:33:40 not too bad thanks, settling in here OK Nov 26 21:33:47 just looking for a place at the moment Nov 26 21:33:59 (to rent) Nov 26 21:34:02 neat :) Nov 26 21:34:19 I started digging in reverse engineering the programming file for Altera FPGAs some more , I'm sure altera would be happy to hear that Nov 26 21:34:44 also, bitbaking world for nios2 now, ~15 packages failing and there are some fascinating bugs %^) Nov 26 21:34:50 much fun :) Nov 26 21:37:16 heh, such is life on the bleeding edge I guess :) Nov 26 21:38:00 I love it :) Nov 26 21:38:17 btw if you're using 2.0 and working on sources for recipes, check out "devtool modify" if you haven't already Nov 26 21:41:40 bluelightning: let me check that Nov 26 21:45:19 yay, supposedly our imx23x boards shipped... Nov 26 21:46:44 nerdboy: imx23 you say ? :) Nov 26 21:48:06 nano and micro? Nov 26 21:48:16 not sure, i didn't do the order Nov 26 21:48:38 nerdboy: imx23 should be supported in mainline u-boot and linux just fine Nov 26 21:48:51 * nerdboy already poked otavio about imx28 stuff Nov 26 21:49:09 yup Nov 26 21:50:05 nerdboy: yes, mx28 was the first one to be supported in mainline uboot Nov 26 21:56:57 yeah, we're getting a couple of the "unmaintained" on yocto variants Nov 26 21:58:28 ok, I'm not entering this discussion Nov 26 22:00:57 we will attempt to "support" them Nov 26 22:01:22 nerdboy: which boards are you talking about ? Nov 26 22:01:30 plus use them on random projects Nov 26 22:01:51 micro/nano/mini i think? Nov 26 22:02:03 ones on the list Nov 26 22:02:16 hm, just use mainline u-boot/linux on them and you're done Nov 26 22:02:21 if you mean the olimex boards Nov 26 22:07:14 it'll be "support" until i actually figure out what that means... ;) Nov 26 23:07:55 since do_patch is a python function, I have to use python to write do_patch_append (or use bb.build.exec_func) ? Nov 26 23:17:48 yann|work: yes, but another alternative is a postfunc Nov 26 23:18:00 and that can be shell if you want **** ENDING LOGGING AT Fri Nov 27 03:00:52 2015
