**** BEGIN LOGGING AT Thu Jan 07 02:59:59 2016 Jan 07 07:47:15 good morning all Jan 07 10:50:43 Hi how can I prevent the installation of a file in bbappend file? Jan 07 10:53:01 hanthings: is removing it a possibility? Jan 07 10:53:23 hanthings: if not, look into bbmask Jan 07 10:55:04 CTtpollard, thanks I will have a look to bbmask Jan 07 11:18:58 CTpollard, I just checked bbmask but is not exactly what I want. Just to be more explicit I have one recipe.bb and one recipe.bbappend. In the bb some file is installed in the system using install ... file command. What I want is to prevent the installation of that file in the bbappend. i was able to do that by removing the file using rm command in the do_install_append. Is there a cleaner way to do it? Jan 07 11:20:39 hanthings: oh ok, I thought you had a bbappend file that you didn't want bitbake applying Jan 07 11:33:03 hi, when I do bitbake foo and then I go to the directory returned by bitbake -e foo | grep ^WORKDIR, why do I see no source code in the git directory in there? Jan 07 11:37:42 CTtpollard: do you know any better way to do this? Jan 07 11:38:26 hanthings: you could have the bbappend apply a patch file with removes the file you want to get rid of Jan 07 13:44:20 is there a way to list all masked recipes? i am trying to mask a .bbappend file and it is not working. Jan 07 14:39:34 CTtpollard: Sry bothering you, but i am trying to use BBMASK to disable a bbappend on a recipe i want to build. Jan 07 14:39:34 I used BBMASK = "u-boot-fw-utils.*\.bbappend" in local.conf, but the append wont get disabled. Do you have an idea what might be wrong? Jan 07 15:14:58 khem: do you plan on sending a revised musl series with patch headers (eg fts) Jan 07 15:47:40 Trying to get a 4dcape43T panel working with BeagleBone Black + Yocto. Anyone knows how? Jan 07 15:51:20 Is the driver already included in the kernel? Jan 07 16:27:19 fl0v01, was that question for me? if so yes it is, HDMI outputs fine it looks like Jan 07 16:27:52 fl0v01, I assume HDMI uses the same driver Jan 07 16:28:30 I thought HDMI was getting in the way to I added this to the uEnv.txt "optargs=capemgr.disable_partno=BB-BONELT-HDMI,BB-BONELT-HDMIN", but still nothing shows up on the LCD Jan 07 16:30:54 hm i dont have a beagle bone so i cant really tell. I had to reconfigure my kernel for another board to get a lvds display running Jan 07 16:33:41 hmm, ok. What would be the right approach to figure this out? I am stuck out of ideas and I don't know where to turn for clues Jan 07 17:38:38 is the display one of those fbtft driver displays? probably does need different kernel options than hdmi... Jan 07 17:49:06 hi nerdboy Jan 07 23:10:41 * armpit new year, new attitude Jan 07 23:17:37 khem: around? Jan 07 23:18:12 khem: tried building poky-tiny with musl, fails with a dependency loop chkconfig-bzip2-lcpre-slang-newt-chkconfig Jan 07 23:18:20 khem: really can't figure out where chkconfig is coming from though! Jan 07 23:29:16 ah, update-alternatives Jan 07 23:32:03 aha Jan 07 23:44:27 WEEE Jan 07 23:45:02 D Jan 07 23:46:31 holy build-oly Jan 07 23:46:48 Got some code, Batman?
