**** BEGIN LOGGING AT Sat Nov 21 02:59:56 2020 Nov 21 04:29:27 Okay, so say I want the functionality of devtool in terms of incremental building my kernel, but I don't want it to be a separate checkout of my source (in other words, I want to edit the source in place where it is) is there a way to do that? Nov 21 04:32:52 We have our own kernel repository that we maintain, and using patch files isn't desirable **** BEGIN LOGGING AT Sat Nov 21 07:18:41 2020 Nov 21 09:41:10 @DanmerZ: I ran a built with meta-java master and it seems to work for me out of the box. Can you try something like this? bitbake icedtea7-native --no-setscene Nov 21 13:11:23 how do I force the init-oe to rebuild conf directory with new local.conf etc? Nov 21 13:11:30 I deleted the build/conf, but it's not being created Nov 21 13:26:35 * _mecairS` Hi. If i ever be an Angel of Light to guide you, to lead you in every way, will you also think of me at night and day.. https://bit.ly/36blphN Nov 21 14:33:40 hi all, I am trying to use the meta-security image class dm-verity-img which appends some KERNEL_FEATURES in an scc, it looks like this would work with linux-yocto kernel as it seems like it checks out a yocto-kernel-cache repo alongside the kernel. I'm using the linux-fslc-imx kernel for my imx8, what's the right way to load the the feature scc's along side? Would that even work? Nov 21 17:41:02 well a bbappend to append to the SRC_URI seems to have done the trick, at least I have the features scc's now to include Nov 21 20:10:46 do you think could I install vim or man inside a crops container? Nov 21 20:10:53 could this affect to the yocto build process? **** ENDING LOGGING AT Sun Nov 22 02:59:57 2020
