Apr 24 10:00:37 hi all :) have angstrom driver for touchscreen? Apr 24 12:37:20 hello again, I'm trying to create my own feed server with 2011.03 packages can someone tell me if this is the right procedure, as I get an openssl compile error Apr 24 12:37:42 hi all :) how can i upgrade kernel on angstrom? Apr 24 12:37:58 I do: git clone git://github.com/Angstrom-distribution/setup-scripts.git Apr 24 12:38:13 git checkout -b local maintenance-2011.03 Apr 24 12:38:38 MACHINE=beagleboard ./oebb.sh config beagleboard MACHINE=beagleboard ./oebb.sh update MACHINE=beagleboard ./oebb.sh bitbake busybox Apr 24 12:48:38 stuk_gen: build or upgrade from feeds? As for touchscreen, if your kernel knows about it Angstrom will not have much of a problem with it. Apr 24 12:49:37 DJWillis: i think i need kernel-hid-multitouch but this need 2.6.39 and i have 2.6.38...so i want update kernel Apr 24 12:49:55 from feed if is possible Apr 24 12:50:19 And your machine IS? Apr 24 12:50:24 beagleboard Apr 24 12:50:56 Hmmm, I was sure 3.something was in the feeds. Apr 24 12:51:28 DJWillis: ok but i'm a newbie in angstrom...so i don't know how can i upgrade... Apr 24 12:52:03 stuk_gen: opkg update && opkg upgrade virtual/kernel maybe? But have a backup ;-) Apr 24 12:52:05 DJWillis: i try opkg update and opkg upgrade but i've receive error when download a packet Apr 24 12:52:29 stuk_gen: how old if your image? Apr 24 12:52:49 i download from narcissus...is a 2011.03 Apr 24 12:52:52 If it's a basic image you could try a new build from the online builder on a clean SD card. Apr 24 12:53:06 Hmmm, that should be fine Apr 24 12:53:23 DJWillis: i try that! but have only 2011.03 and this have 2.6.38... Apr 24 12:53:32 maybe i'm wrong something.. Apr 24 12:54:17 no i'm wrong this have 2.6.32 ... Apr 24 12:54:27 uname -a says 2.6.32 Apr 24 12:55:12 Hmmm, not sure what to suggest as it sounds like you can't see the approperate feeds for packages. Apr 24 12:58:14 stuk_gen: do you have a minute to help me please? Apr 24 12:58:44 DJWillis: how can i get an angstrom image with the last kernel? maybe 3.xx ? Apr 24 12:58:51 enrico_: yes...for what? Apr 24 12:59:32 i'm trying to rebuild the same 2011.03 online packages Apr 24 12:59:49 i do clone, git checkout -b local maintenance-2011.03 Apr 24 13:00:03 conf beagleboard, update, bitbake busybox Apr 24 13:00:12 but i get an openssl-native compile error Apr 24 13:00:34 I think is my fault, is this the right way to procede? Apr 24 13:00:45 enrico_: sorry but i don't know :) Apr 24 13:01:31 stuk_gen: thank you anyway for your time :) Apr 24 13:02:57 stuk_gen: do you know whare can I get help for this? Apr 24 13:03:09 enrico_: i thinke here :) Apr 24 13:03:12 think* Apr 24 13:06:50 DJWillis: opkg update && opkg upgrade virtual/kernel Unknown package 'virtual/kernel'. Apr 24 13:08:40 stuk_gen: sorry, opkg upgrade kernel-image I think. Apr 24 13:09:44 can someone point in the right direction to rebuild the 2011.03 online packages (same version), thank you in advance Apr 24 13:09:47 DJWillis: the same...unknok package Apr 24 13:10:12 DJWillis: i think i haven't the feed kernel in opkg how can i add repos? Apr 24 13:11:04 stuk_gen: hmmm, not sure as I don't have a Beagle handy to test on, I assume you have the main feeds added so you should have the kernel. You could try a raw opkg update && opkg upgrade but that may bring a lot more in you may not want. Apr 24 13:11:29 i try but this nothing do Apr 24 13:11:46 in opkg/list i have base beagleboard debug gstreamer locale-en-feed no-arch perl python Apr 24 13:27:17 stuk_gen: have you tried opkg list to have the list of packages available to install with version? Don't know if this can help you, I'm pretty new to this kind of stuff Apr 24 13:37:54 enrico_: yes i just try Apr 24 14:04:51 hi, i am trying to make a opie image for beagleboard, but the online builder isnt including the opie packages. is there any other way to get a prebuilt opie image. i am just interested in qt development. Apr 24 14:09:20 mak1: Opie is not really used that much any more, there are qt4 packages for both X, no X and GLes. Apr 24 14:11:44 DJWillis: How do i include those packages from the online builder Apr 24 14:12:07 mak1: no idea, well not got time to look right now I am afraid. Apr 24 14:12:29 opie was fun Apr 24 14:13:59 DJWillis: can you help me in rebuilding 2011.03 online packages? Apr 24 14:22:35 * bluelightning waves Apr 24 14:22:39 some people still use Opie Apr 24 14:22:41 :) Apr 24 14:23:12 being based on Qt2 it's somewhat out-of-date, but it *is* still being maintained Apr 24 14:23:53 mak1: if you want to build an up-to-date image you'll probably have to build one yourself at the moment I'm afraid Apr 24 14:24:28 mak1: why don't you use qt or qtembedded? Apr 24 14:26:34 stuk_gen: how much effort will it take? do i have to compile the whole of qt, or just packages will be enough Apr 24 14:26:59 angstrom have just their package Apr 24 14:27:01 are readymade packages for qt available? Apr 24 14:27:09 ye Apr 24 14:27:12 yes* Apr 24 14:27:35 can i install them over network (like sudo apt-get in ubuntu)? Apr 24 14:27:41 opkg install Apr 24 14:28:10 opkg install qt, and all dependencies are handled automatically, right? Apr 24 14:29:12 'yes' ... Apr 24 14:29:27 thats cool Apr 24 14:29:40 in the repost there are 4.8.0 Apr 24 14:29:47 libqt* Apr 24 14:30:08 you mean libqt4.8.0 Apr 24 14:30:30 libQtCore...libQtGui ec...
