And it also looks like the dhclient program will be periodically looking to see if it gets and IP. Then at the time of failure I do see a bunch of "^@" characters, about 2 or 3 lines worth.

Since the BBB sits on top of Opensprinker h/w, there are a couple of pins that supply the voltage to the BBB.

The status led for the opensprinkler h/w is lit as it should be always.
