**** BEGIN LOGGING AT Fri Mar 04 02:59:56 2022 Mar 04 03:01:20 Oh. @zmatt: I told you the other day that I would be back to show off a random thing git does now on the BBB. Mar 04 03:01:23 Please hold. Mar 04 03:01:27 I will show it off now. Mar 04 03:02:52 Never mind me. Things are back to normal. Mar 04 03:03:34 I think when I attempted to clone and then push, then pull from a different client, something-somewhere happened and created the awkward output. Mar 04 03:10:32 most likely git was trying to explain to you what the problem was Mar 04 03:11:26 Right but it was the first time this actually happened to me on the BBB. Mar 04 03:11:45 Usually, it works or does not work. Mar 04 03:12:10 the BBB has nothing to do with this, git doesn't magically behave differently depending on what system you run it on Mar 04 03:12:17 Oh. Mar 04 03:12:18 Okay. Mar 04 03:12:20 No issue. Mar 04 03:12:54 if you had saved what you did and the message you got, I could probably have told you what it meant Mar 04 03:15:04 Right. I will pay attention next time and take down or paste the output. Mar 04 03:18:37 I know now. I had an updated image w/ a newer kernel. Git must have been updated/upgraded along w/ the kernel source? Mar 04 03:18:59 Right now, I have an updated image but older kernel. Mar 04 03:20:11 Anyway, I will do like I say. Output on the way w/ the newer image and newer kernel(s). Mar 04 03:58:23 Hi Mar 04 03:58:50 I need help related to Beaglebone black Mar 04 03:59:29 10:00! Mar 04 04:04:32 Guest69: if you need help, a good start would be to ask a concrete question rather than merely declaring the fact you need help :P Mar 04 04:12:43 ok Mar 04 04:14:36 I want to learn BBB, I had purchased the BBB, but there is no proper tutorial/help for learning BBB, tell me about any help or tutorial website, etc to start working on BBB. thanks Mar 04 04:28:58 that's really vague and broad though... like, in the end the BBB is just a linux system and "working on" it is mostly no different from working on any other linux-based embedded system. Mar 04 04:31:55 unfortunately I don't really know where to point you, i was already a linux user and familiar with programming embedded systems when I started working with the BBB so I never really even looked for a tutorial Mar 04 04:32:05 maybe someone else has more useful feedback Mar 04 04:36:12 @zmatt you have any help material related to BBB please share Mar 04 04:53:47 ? Mar 04 12:00:10 Hi, I was facing a strange issue in Beaglebone black. Ethernet LEDs (Green and Yellow ones in Ethernet port) are always on when board is connected to power even without connecting the ethernet cable. Board cannot get connected to network when ethernet is connected. Rebooting or Power reset didn’t fix it. What might have caused it? Earlier the Mar 04 12:00:11 same board was working fine. **** BEGIN LOGGING AT Fri Mar 04 14:51:28 2022 Mar 05 02:13:16 Hello all! Mar 05 02:16:40 Anyone ever seen a custom beagle bone black ? am3352bzcz60 cpu and none of the IO headers. ill get some pics up in a bit Mar 05 02:30:31 https://imgur.com/gallery/timIoCY Mar 05 02:46:04 Whiskey`: there are beaglebone-derived custom boards yes Mar 05 02:46:26 notably used as control boards on certain cryptocurrency mining rigs Mar 05 02:50:55 zmatt: interesting. had no idea. thanks for the info. Mar 05 02:51:11 Whiskey`: as far as I know, making derivatives is allowed as long as they're not sold as "beaglebone" or use any other beagleboard.org trademarks without their permission Mar 05 02:51:13 these all have some BT modules shoved into them Mar 05 02:51:28 sounds reasonable Mar 05 02:55:59 and the source/design files are CC-BY-SA hence if you publish your modified design (which you're not required to) it must retain appropriate attribution and be published under the same license Mar 05 02:56:51 also reasonable. I picked these up 3rd hand at a auction with tons of other junk hardware Mar 05 02:57:34 if they had the IO ports I could do something with them. As they are, I dunno what all they could be used for Mar 05 02:58:03 yeah this is a weird one, never seen it before Mar 05 02:58:36 is that an usb-c connector? Mar 05 02:59:01 na Mar 05 02:59:24 its a mini b Mar 05 02:59:33 ah, it kinda looked like one from the photo's perspective Mar 05 02:59:55 is the topright chip (U13) an eMMC or a raw NAND flash? **** ENDING LOGGING AT Sat Mar 05 02:59:56 2022
