**** BEGIN LOGGING AT Wed Dec 07 02:59:56 2022 Dec 07 21:05:33 Hi There, Dec 07 21:05:33 I am an engineer with eInfochips, a subsidiary of Arrow Electronics, and have a question from one of our end customers. As one of your distributors, we would like to request the following information: Dec 07 21:05:34 Customer order part :BBONE-A | BeagleBone® AI. Dec 07 21:05:34 He connected the board to USB C, and he want to run the system, but the system is not powered up. No LED lights are flashing. Is there any way to fix the issue?” Dec 07 21:08:35 ? Dec 07 21:27:37 ? Dec 07 21:44:18 Guest53: that is not a lot to go on ... Dec 07 21:49:48 vagrantc could you please re confirm? Dec 07 21:50:07 Any way to fix this? Dec 07 21:52:31 Guest53: if you're an engineer, surely you can imagine that there's almost no way to give a useful response based on so little information. pretty much all you're saying is "it doesn't work" Dec 07 21:53:11 maybe the usb port/supply they're using can't supply enough current for the BBAI ? Dec 07 22:00:42 Hello...what pins are taken up by the HDMI usage? Dec 07 22:02:12 Archana: the P9 and P8 tabs of my spreadsheet mark pins in use for special purposes: https://goo.gl/Jkcg0w#gid=1847985463 Dec 07 22:02:24 Thank you! Dec 07 22:03:15 e.g. HDMI uses P8.27-46, and if HDMI audio is enabled also P9.{25,28,29,31} Dec 07 22:03:29 @zmatt: thank you again! Dec 07 22:03:44 (HDMI video and audio are enabled by default but can be disabled to free up the pins for other use) Dec 07 22:04:14 Right...I understood that much. I just could not find the paperwork or data on the pins allocated to the HDMI for whatever reason. Dec 07 22:04:48 I also have a utility that shows which pins have special uses, as well as their actual current configuration: https://github.com/mvduin/bbb-pin-utils/#show-pins Dec 07 22:05:04 @zmatt: Thank you...I will test it soon. Dec 08 00:20:37 I've got a BBB running the stock Debian (10.13) buster.  When I run apt-get update, I'm getting errors that the repo no longer has a Release file, although when I go to the Debian repo via web browser, I do see a Release file there (may not be in the same place as where apt is expecting it (?)). Dec 08 00:20:50 How do I fix this? Dec 08 00:21:19 I run into this problem with Debian every couple of years, but I don't recall how to fix it. **** ENDING LOGGING AT Thu Dec 08 02:59:56 2022
