**** BEGIN LOGGING AT Mon Dec 08 02:59:57 2008 Dec 08 03:00:42 * flyback burns fedora 10 to dvd for test install run, hopes it's better than f9 was Dec 08 03:54:08 * flyback is having bad panic attacks tonight :/ Dec 08 03:54:32 beer man Dec 08 03:54:34 have beer Dec 08 19:37:18 Hi all Dec 08 19:37:29 *everyone would be better I suppose :D Dec 08 19:40:25 I've got a little problem... I'm running amd64 Gentoo linux with almost unchanged (just a few wlan networking stuff added) kernel config from Sabayon, and I'm trying to get Debian (using howto from hackndev.com) working on my treo 650. The problem is that gentoo doesn't show any new network interface. modules loaded along with treo are usbnet, zaurus and cdc_ether (zaurus and cdc_ether were loaded automaticaly I think) Dec 08 19:40:48 dmesg shows just these two lines Dec 08 19:40:49 usb 2-5: new full speed USB device using ohci_hcd and address 45usb 2-5: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice Dec 08 19:42:50 there is one possibility I see - that I have faulty USB cable. It is a bit loosy, but cardreader in palmOS works well and so does the charging, so I don't really think that can be the source of problems Dec 08 19:43:49 I hacked into the whitehouse today and had chatted with secret service, they told me that since my skill level is so high i should join their team Dec 08 19:44:12 lodene: orly? gonna accept? Dec 08 19:44:14 :D Dec 08 19:45:02 well, i said i'll join after logging into pantagon and downloading their classified system Dec 08 19:46:18 lodene: oh :) congratulations ;) and good luck ;) Dec 08 19:46:49 i also have a genuine melinda and bill gang bang video Dec 08 19:47:05 lodene: do you have a little time to help me with my little problem? :) Dec 08 19:48:15 try sticking your pecker inside the USB port, i know that worked for some Dec 08 19:48:52 oh :D :D:D Dec 08 19:50:44 is there something I could do, what wouldn't require to use my pecker or other parts of my body (well except my fingers on keyboard and my brain in my head) :D Dec 08 19:50:47 ? Dec 08 19:52:17 well I found out that on treo there is usb0 interface set... so the problem is on the gentoo side Dec 08 20:05:49 gentoo somewhy ignores...I checked kernel config - no g_ether is present, just cdc_ether.. it is loaded but no usb0 interface existst Dec 08 20:23:50 hmm... everyone sleeping... :D Dec 08 20:29:44 gonna try last possibility... "Hello IT, have you tried turning it off and on again?" Dec 08 20:29:51 gonna reboot... and then sleep Dec 08 20:29:56 bye and good night everyone Dec 08 22:53:10 http://www.uranther.com/funnypics/i_has_a_shuvel.jpg Dec 09 02:15:27 * flyback IN bed, goodnight all **** ENDING LOGGING AT Tue Dec 09 02:59:57 2008
