The N770 needs power to be supplied to it's usb port as well, even when it is in usb host mode. Normally the usb host provides power instead of drawing it, but that is an odd flaw in the N770's design.

From what I've seen you should see mention of the hub being connected, and then the keyboard. I seem to remember reading somewhere that it didn't work right if you had USB plugged in when the device booted.
