Apr 01 15:46:51 Pavlov, yes Apr 01 15:46:56 it comes with a headset actually Apr 01 15:47:00 with a builtin mic and a button Apr 01 15:47:04 i don't think i've ever actually plugged in headphones to my n810 Apr 01 15:47:06 (s) Apr 01 15:47:21 the ones that came with my N810 are still in the plastic bag unopened i think Apr 01 15:47:47 that is the right place for them :-) Apr 01 15:47:49 To make the volume not kill my eardrums, I have to move the slider to 0, than tap + once Apr 01 15:47:56 whoa Apr 01 15:48:02 my music is usually too silent Apr 01 15:48:13 especially if you're listening to something on a bus Apr 01 15:48:40 There's quite alot of noise in the output, like, when playing silence the noise through headphones is louder than the noise of my quad core computer :P Apr 01 15:48:59 I really hope they'll improve the headphone output for "N900" :) Apr 01 15:49:14 the n900 will probably have 3d sound Apr 01 15:49:45 hey this is funny, embedded in the noise is also electrical noise from the touchscreen Apr 01 15:50:26 Like, I tap on the volume control to keep the audio output active, and then there's a square-wave type noise underneath the white noise when I move stylus on screen Apr 01 15:51:34 doesn't seem like the CPU is leaking through any noise though Apr 01 15:53:58 no touchscreen leakage on my N810 Apr 01 15:54:23 The background noise is maybe 3dB louder and more brownish though Apr 01 16:07:04 * RST38h knows for sure that n900 will use perforated tape for the swap Apr 01 16:07:30 wazd: was that ..mmmm.... sketch sufficient? =) Apr 01 16:10:28 Actually, tape makes perfect sense: it is cheap, abundant (just slice toilet paper rolls), has got that highly sought 60s feel, has unlimited capacity (just glue some more tape and you are done) Apr 01 16:11:32 + you will have the complete backup of your system state for any point in time - how many current devices can boast that? I BET even mighty Palm Pre can't do that with its HTML OS! Apr 01 16:11:50 ah, but I bet it wears as badly as flash memory Apr 01 16:12:16 Only if you use it improperly Apr 01 16:12:32 hiya Apr 01 16:12:45 wello Apr 01 16:12:48 hi all, Is X-Fade the only guy with permissions to fix autobuilder problems ? Apr 01 22:53:31 Quick question; sorry if this is already answered somewhere: Is there a way to disable WPA2 mode, ie make the device only connect via wpa1? Apr 01 23:01:39 If I remember correctly there is an option to force only WPA2 but not to force only WPA1 Apr 01 23:05:31 Proteous: Thanks! I actually found that one. My problem connecting at work is for some reason, during the WPA2 cert derivation, the server fails the Nokia's client cert challenge with WPA2, but it works correctly with wpa1. This worked fine until the sysadmin reconfigured the server to attempt a wpa2 connection first, and then fallback to wpa1. Apr 01 23:06:48 Unfortunately, the admin couldn't figure out what was going on, so I was hoping there was a way to disable wpa2 so I could enable that as a kludge while I try to figure out what is wrong with the WPA2 connection.
