Jan 24 03:16:35 once i jb'd, and installed cydia, most the utils i wanted were as simple to install as N900 Jan 24 03:16:45 and the hardware is available in the form of ipod touch for 1/4th the price of a N9 Jan 24 03:17:11 its not how i'd spend my money, i'd go out of my way to get someting Mer-compatible Jan 24 03:17:15 but it is not that bad Jan 24 03:26:54 * retro|cz is away: Byl jsem tady. Can Qt get access to phone specific functions? Or should I download the maemo SDK? Jan 24 04:42:41 But maemo sdk uses GTK and C. Can I use C++ on top of it? But it doesn't seem to be the right approach. What is the preferred way? Jan 24 05:01:02 one of my conversations became titled "" randomly - any ideas? Jan 24 08:33:14 Hi. I have successfully compiled and flashed a new kernel into my N900. Now I have done some experimental changes and want to just boot the device with the new kernel, but without flashing it. How do I do that with the flasher? I cannot find it out. I tried "flasher-3.5 -k zImage -b" but this does not do the trick. I does not seem to upload the kernel or boot it. Any ideas? Jan 24 08:33:35 I must be missing something really obvious... Jan 24 08:34:22 mihu: yes Jan 24 08:34:25 you miss the -l flash Jan 24 08:34:27 *flag* Jan 24 08:34:44 so it's flasher-3.5 -k zImage -l -b Jan 24 08:36:38 merlin1991: Ah, ok. So it was merely booting the existing kernel before, without loading the new one actually. Got it. Yes, now it works. Thanks!
