**** BEGIN LOGGING AT Sat Sep 10 02:59:58 2016 Sep 10 08:27:48 My setup exhibits several disturbing symptoms of not exactly working. One of them: while camera saves photos to DCIM, File manager thinks that Camera=.camera . Audio clips=.sounds works fine, though. Sep 10 08:30:33 Another of them: while media player can open flac audio nicely ( and file manager displays it finely, too ), media player does not have the flac audio file listed in its Music section. And it's not question of directory , mp3 audio in the same directory is tracked nicely. Sep 10 08:34:29 /me has decoders-support, mod-support and ogg-support installed Sep 10 08:38:03 And sometimes GUI does the strangest things. Like, it ignores hw kb, touch screen, and the only actions it doesn't ignore are camera button and touch-screen-unworkability-exceptions: switching between windows ( left top corner of a window and clicking a window in window-list view ) and closing windows ( only from window-list view; top right corner of a window is ignored ). Have to reboot to fix it. Sep 10 08:42:58 Also, AnimalSounds is the strangest app. It should have the ability to delete, edit and add animal photos and sounds at user's discretion. And pictures and sounds provided by default should have proper attribution. Also, GUI is awkward and not quite intuitive. As in, if you wish, you can master it, but if you are sleepy and frustrated... Sep 10 12:46:34 hi all, help install pyobd))) Sep 10 12:48:56 when installing from app Manager program does not turn on I have read that you need to install wxPython Sep 10 12:49:23 I am a beginner but understand the terminal :P Sep 10 12:54:39 how install wxPython Sep 10 12:54:43 help pls Sep 10 13:14:50 vahe: maybe: apt-get install python-wxgtk2.6 Sep 10 13:15:06 օկ Sep 10 13:15:08 ok Sep 10 13:17:02 Maxdamantus: python-wxgtk2.6 already installed Sep 10 13:18:10 Maxdamantus: I installed it pyobd ,but when you open it closes itself Sep 10 13:18:54 vahe: try running it in a terminal. Sep 10 13:19:48 how? python /home/opt/pyobd/pyobd.py? Sep 10 13:20:09 You probably don't need to specify python. Sep 10 13:20:40 It's probably executable with a #!, if it's meant to be run like that. Sep 10 13:21:25 Maxdamantus: tahanks, but not work https://bpaste.net/show/b95fff30e86b Sep 10 13:22:33 apt-get install python-serial Sep 10 13:22:54 ok Sep 10 13:23:08 If that fixes it, it's probably basically a bug in the pyobd package. Sep 10 13:23:30 (in that it should specify it as a dependency) Sep 10 13:23:41 python-serial lready installed Sep 10 13:23:47 already installed Sep 10 13:24:48 Hang on, you're not running it from a package. Sep 10 13:26:11 You should probably try just using the package from the repository. Sep 10 13:26:42 otherwise it might point to different versions of Python or something. Sep 10 13:27:02 pyobd originally did have dependency problems .. but i think it got fixed Sep 10 13:27:08 * sicelo uses it Sep 10 13:27:36 * Maxdamantus doesn't. Sep 10 13:28:28 but if there is what some alternative? Sep 10 13:28:42 alternantive for? Sep 10 13:28:52 use raw serial :p Sep 10 13:29:05 also depends what exactly you want to do ... Sep 10 13:29:29 i built obdgpslogger if you want logging .. but for codes, use pyobd Sep 10 13:29:40 raw? Sep 10 13:29:55 I'm not familiar Sep 10 13:30:25 show us your version of python serial .. Sep 10 13:32:31 as Maxdamantus said .. install it from repos to be safe. i see dependencies are fixed Sep 10 13:32:42 repos? Sep 10 13:33:47 ahaha im intalled phyton-serial and works on funtoo os :D Sep 10 13:34:14 what repo is needed for maemo? Sep 10 13:34:14 hmm Sep 10 15:57:51 sicelo: how see version python-serial? Sep 10 16:17:30 dpkg -l python-serial Sep 10 20:24:55 Speech-dispatcher is a curious thing. Section " sound " looks strange ( user/multimedia might be better ). Probably could be updated to a newer version? **** ENDING LOGGING AT Sun Sep 11 02:59:58 2016
