Sep 28 06:20:03 I don't know how to "diagnose" why this thing can't send mms Sep 28 06:20:29 the settings are all correct, I get them fine, I can send one to myself fine. other than that, what else is there to check? Sep 28 06:57:37 Vajb: no. never had such software. if i don't like to pick all or some calls, i simply ignore them ;-) Sep 28 07:01:21 Sicelo: that's tad incenvenient if u have phone in ur pocket and r listening to audio book ;) (my excuse of being asocial) Sep 28 07:01:29 inconvenient* Sep 28 07:01:56 fishbulb: maybe it is ur receivers? That's where i would look. Sep 28 07:06:07 no audiobooks for me :p Sep 28 07:11:37 audiobooks, podcasts, music, u name it. I do them all :D Sep 28 07:43:48 connectbot (android) is really nice, but (imo) loses to our XTerminal, despite the flaws we have Sep 28 07:44:48 write to the author about suggestions? Sep 28 09:11:09 please, connectbot author, add a physical keyword to my phone so that i can see the screen at the same time I type Sep 28 10:11:33 moin :) Sep 28 11:47:13 is there any way of sharing images with the n900 Sep 28 11:48:14 ever since yappari got wrecked by whatsapp, it's a linux computer, with gps, and texts/calls Sep 28 11:48:50 imgur.com Sep 28 11:54:07 Anybody wants to test this video? 854x480 webm, vp8/vorbis codec: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/transcoded/f/f1/Siberian_hitch.webm/Siberian_hitch.webm.480p.webm Sep 28 11:54:47 oksanaa: works on x86 in mplayer Sep 28 11:55:08 I have decoders-support installed, this video plays ( not sure about sound ), stutters all the way... And has diagonal bug with decoding Sep 28 11:55:17 nice knot Sep 28 11:56:06 no issues (audio seems missing, or quiet) Sep 28 11:57:09 Stutters is " normal ", the video's large version stutters even more https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/f/f1/Siberian_hitch.webm Sep 28 11:57:22 no stuttering here Sep 28 11:58:19 Have you tried only mplayer, or Nokia's Media Player too? Sep 28 11:58:31 as i said, i've tried it on x85 Sep 28 11:58:34 x86 Sep 28 11:58:39 ie. thinkpad laptop Sep 28 11:59:05 on n900 it might stutter because of slow cpu Sep 28 11:59:17 and most likely software decoding Sep 28 12:00:24 I guessed so. Probability of it being Maemo emulator on x86 is very small. And yes, software decoding is slow, but last I heard, it is specifically webm problem, aka, mp4 with high video quality does not stutter Sep 28 12:00:54 [lavf] stream 0: video (vp8), -vid 0 Sep 28 12:01:01 its vp8, not mp4 Sep 28 12:01:31 so no dsp decoder Sep 28 12:02:11 Hmm, not sure how vp8 is different from vorbis and other codecs. Anyway, should read tmo thread on video playing, and look at Wikimedia Commons more Sep 28 12:02:32 Maybe, by some miracle, they offer same video in different encoding Sep 28 12:02:41 read which decoders are supported on dsp Sep 28 12:07:16 q Sep 28 12:07:19 oops. Sep 28 12:08:23 http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/transcoded/f/f1/Siberian_hitch.webm/Siberian_hitch.webm.480p.ogv is curious, theora/vorbis Sep 28 12:12:58 Is 854x480 too strange a resolution for it? Is there something better than 480p ? Sep 28 12:14:02 Time of underscores _ ? ;-) /Me waves and falls asleep Sep 28 12:38:55 isnt 854x480 native on n900? Sep 28 13:09:13 hi Sep 28 16:54:26 http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=97666 Sep 28 21:35:52 Hooray! I had an issue of ogv files with theora/vorbis being not playable ( video codec not supported ) while having decoders-support installed, which depends on ogg-support ( also installed ). Strangely enough, ogg-support did _not_ pull in gstreamer0.10-theora. After installing it manually, and reinstalling ogg-support and decoders-support, ogv files with theora/vorbis codecs are playable. /me has therefore removed from filesystem we Sep 28 21:35:54 bm " originals " of the video, as stuttering annoyingly / Sep 28 23:16:39 https://www.agwa.name/blog/post/how_to_crash_systemd_in_one_tweet Sep 28 23:31:27 Hmm, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nokia_N900 mentions 800x480 and 848x480. Should check resolution of start-up Nokia's " hands video " though... Yes, Nokia's start-up video is 800x480 Sep 29 01:04:00 Oksana: how is that relevant? Sep 29 01:04:09 the 848x480 dimension is speaking of the camera.. **** ENDING LOGGING AT Thu Sep 29 02:59:58 2016
