As far as N900 goes, it runs well. there's no 3d accel. so most windows managers are slow. i prefered i3, since we have hwkb, but xfce also fine. pmOS has KDE Plasma as the most mobile-optimised UI, but that won't work on N900 (wayland + 3d)

The Galaxy Note 4 is theoretically an upgrade from the Galaxy Note 3 I still use but, in practice, the Galaxy Note 4 seems to have problems that the Galaxy Note 3 does not have so I will stay with my Snapdragon-based Galaxy Note 3.
