The second try, I reached a CSR but they said they only provide the service manual to service personnel.  They said that UBreakI6 (?) in North Vancouver provides warranty service for Metro Vancouver and that ELink in Mississauga, Ontario is the Samsung service department.  They gave me the telephone number for ELink but I have not yet tried to

The call quality is bad when I call Samsung customer service, even during the computerised menus before a human answers, so it is difficult to communicate with the CSR.  I guess I should have asked to speak to the manager of the CSR to try to convince the manager to send me the service manual.
