Nov 17 11:53:02 Hello, does anyone grabbed these files (https://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=81865&page=32) or has a compatible Moslo for RM-680? Nov 17 11:54:12 Also anything according an old N950 (< HW0322) would be extremely useful Nov 17 12:13:59 It is quite mysterious that I have one /usr/lib/libz.so.1.2.3 on my device. Side by side with official zlib1g 1.2.7 Nov 17 12:41:08 Oksana: I do not know if it is packaged for Maemo but ncdu (ncurses disk usage) is a useful text-mode application for finding what has filled a file system. I try to always install it before the file system is full because when the file system is full you cannot install a new package to get a program to help you see how the disk space is used. Nov 17 12:45:27 KDirStat and similar GUI applications that use a squarified tree map to visually show how the space in a file system is used are very helpful if you can run such an application on your N900. Nov 17 12:47:14 ncdu is nice and fast for remote usage because it uses only text mode. Nov 17 12:55:05 KotCzarny: Regarding the request of dattelfisch, did MAX9 ever contact you about hosting the N950/Harmattan files? Nov 17 12:55:49 I can probably host the files too if you ever get them. Nov 17 13:08:55 dattelfisch: Is this useful? Nov 17 13:08:55 https://thepiratebay.org/torrent/7530337/Nokia_N950_PR1.3_firmware_(leaked) Nov 17 13:11:30 https://www.cnx-software.com/2019/11/16/buy-pinephone-braveheart-limited-edition-linux-smartphone/ Nov 17 13:11:31 :) Nov 17 13:15:03 When fulfilling the purchase, please bear in mind that we are offering the PinePhone at this price as a community service to PINE64, Linux and BSD communities. If you think that a minor dissatisfaction, such as a dead pixel, will prompt you to file a PayPal dispute then please do not purchase the PinePhone. Thank you. Nov 17 13:15:25 buyer beware, this batch is mostly for dev/brave heart users Nov 17 13:21:40 I am sure there are Linux 950 images somewhere Nov 17 13:21:47 ~950 Nov 17 13:22:02 ~listkeys 950 Nov 17 13:22:04 Factoid search of '950' by key (21 of 174): firmware-n950 ;; n950-firmware ;; rfc950 ;; zip 39502 ;; zip 39503 ;; zip 49509 ;; zip 50950 ;; zip 7950 ;; zip 79503 ;; zip 79505 ;; zip 79508 ;; zip 91950 ;; zip 93950 ;; zip 94950 ;; zip 95001 ;; zip 95002 ;; zip 95004 ;; zip 95009 ;; zip 95011 ;; zip 95019 ;; zip 95021. Nov 17 15:08:22 Therefore Nemo could be a solution, but the correct moslo file is also hard to find. Nov 17 15:08:33 sorry in a hurry. You got 60s Nov 17 15:08:42 DocScrutinizer05: hey there! dattelfisch is looking for old / exotic N950 firmware images Nov 17 15:09:07 maemo.cloud-7.de Nov 17 15:09:12 Oh, yes I have a device (HW0322) but the images I can find are not working Nov 17 15:10:15 These are the images I already tried Nov 17 15:10:19 http://maemo.cloud-7.de/950/myimages/ Nov 17 15:11:10 So do I have the possibility to find a matching image? Nov 17 15:11:28 KotCzarny: I guess you never got to retrieve them? https://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p=1557999&postcount=318 Nov 17 16:57:23 bencoh: nope Nov 17 17:59:36 * sicelo wonders why 'modern' smartphone OSes don't have a way to go offline on some accounts while device is connected to Internet ... sux Nov 17 18:03:42 seems closest they get is offering you a Logout method Nov 17 18:53:28 https://www.debian.org/vote/2019/vote_002 Looks important to the future of Debian. Nov 17 18:54:18 * lupine mashes C hard Nov 17 18:54:50 sixwheeledbeast: mmm, i get 403 error Nov 17 18:55:31 I don't Nov 17 18:55:45 C? err? Nov 17 18:57:21 Also https://lwn.net/ml/debian-vote/24014.36465.436524.968683@chiark.greenend.org.uk/ Nov 17 19:28:46 Why does community-ssu-enabler-testing depend on qtquickcompat?.. Nov 17 19:55:35 Dependencies of mbarcode-plugin-qrcode do not seem to make sense. Nov 17 20:01:11 How do Ilist all manually installed packages? Nov 17 20:03:08 dpkg -l Nov 17 20:03:39 and write a script that iterates over the list with apt-cache policy? Nov 17 20:04:00 I don't want to have packages listed which were automatically installed as dependencies of other packages? Nov 17 20:04:10 Ah, script... Nov 17 20:08:05 Why does mp-fremantle-community-pr depend on so much Qt?.. Nov 17 20:08:26 because it's a metapackage that's catch-all ? Nov 17 20:09:12 and probably someone made sure it's not left out Nov 17 20:09:44 Well, it should depend on essential things - like hildon-desktop and hildon-home and xterm and rtcom-messaging and such. Let high-level applications pull in low-level dependencies? Nov 17 20:12:21 Got you, python-glade2! You can be removed, and you will not pull down anything else with you. Nov 17 20:13:15 As beautiful as Ansela is, I had to uninstall it - I already have one photo browser, thank you very much. Nov 17 20:16:41 Come one come all, all aboard the HMS metapackage Nov 17 20:18:13 Netstory, you are nice, but I am not opening you at all lately. Musicsheettest, till better days. Lighttpd-dav-gui, goodbye as well. Nov 17 20:21:49 Why does autocompleteeditor depend on python2.5-sip4?.. Nov 17 20:34:12 Phonestream didn't remove its config file from homefs when purged. Nov 17 20:42:25 Why did I have libqhull5 installed?.. Nov 17 22:46:18 >>Let high-level applications pull in low-level dependencies?<< alas that's how maemo is FUBAR by design. Zhe dependencies *never* were managed in any sane way, it always was a "take it all or leave it" "meta distro" Nov 17 22:48:20 you install a shitload of apps by "flashing a ROM image" and none of all those apps and programs gets a sane dependency metainfo for apt Nov 17 22:49:03 CSSU ntried to inprove the situation but it always been a uphill battle Nov 17 22:56:01 I also asked freemangordon to create a neo-fremantle built from scratch and just explicitly importing blobs we have no source for. So all apps would get their deb pkg incl clean comprehensive dependencies. Seems I never managed to convey the purpose of such exercise **** ENDING LOGGING AT Mon Nov 18 02:59:57 2019
