I have a problem that docking station loses connection to displays if laptop slightly shifts in dock and even if table shakes a little. Sometimes it reconnects easily, but sometimes I have to reconnect the laptop to the dock several times. This is quite annoying problem and I am wondering if others have faced this and if yes, how did you fix this issue? All Feb 22 09:28:00 solutions are welcome. Feb 22 09:30:11 if google doesnt return a lot of similar issues then i would assume it's faulty? Feb 22 09:38:48 I tried googling the problem, but did not find solutions. Few others had similar issues, but none offered much of a solution Feb 22 09:40:02 It feels like bad connection, bent pin or such but I have not seen any when observing both ports (dock and laptop) Feb 22 09:47:22 at this scale it relies on micrometer scale fitting, i miss springs :) Feb 22 09:51:22 Ah, good old spring loaded pins... Feb 22 09:52:04 springs are expensive Feb 22 09:52:11 and big Feb 22 10:08:35 don't know much about the docking for lenovo only ever used a dell one in the past Feb 22 10:10:28 they are quirky Feb 22 10:10:50 in my old thinkpads moving laptop sometimes triggered audio reconnect Feb 22 10:11:36 most likely other pins too, but audio was most noticable Feb 22 11:05:32 I might have fixed it just now. Applied some spray lube meant for fixing bad connections for both ports and I can't make it disconnect anymore. Hope this is not just temporary fix. Feb 22 16:09:17 Vajb: be careful with those sprays. Learn how to use them right. Usually you should do a flush last, to remove residues left from the contact cleaner. Also not all "contact cleaner" sprays are dor all types of contacts **** ENDING LOGGING AT Tue Feb 23 03:00:05 2021
