Sep 18 15:20:20 <kfm82> all, if bad blocks are detected when trying to write a huge file to an external extfs2 hard drive, will those be labelled as defective and no longer used again so i may safely delete said corrupted big file(s)?

Sep 18 16:53:14 <joshin> kfm82, if you're actually seeing bad blocks on a drive (meaning that the controller has used up all its reserve blocks) I'd be placing an order for a new drive ASAP.
