Jan 30 23:38:29 <daveyboy_> lol. right problem solved for a start. i run netgear router as well and its default ip range is 192.168.1.1-whatever.... and when you get a new slug, its 192.168.0.77 i think (or 99)...bascially its on the wrong ip range for your network. what i ended up doing for simplicities sake for some otehr gear i got, was chaging the ip range of my router to 192.168.0.1-whatever.. then slug will appear n your network

Jan 30 23:43:47 <daveyboy_> do that in mo (thats easy and all done on individual pc)... but what u need to do is change lan ip range... i set mine to 192.168.0.2 (fpr the router)... there is reason i chose 2 and not 1, is because if you intend o flash your firmware on nslu2 (HIGHLY recomend it)... thn it needs 192.168.0.1 for updating procedure.
