**** BEGIN LOGGING AT Tue May 13 02:59:56 2008 May 13 19:11:46 Hey everybody May 13 19:13:01 Or: hey anybody May 13 19:14:28 Hi Doctor Nick! May 13 19:16:35 Hey reedy May 13 19:19:17 Can I ask Slug trouble questions here? May 13 19:20:15 feel free, someone should answer if they know the answer :) May 13 19:21:01 Great! :-) May 13 19:23:34 I just uploaded the unslung firmware to my slug, no problems there. However, when I try to access the web GUI now the connection times out. I could find some references to ip adresses in the wiki (regarding linksys standard range) but nothing that seemed to deal with this problem. Did I overlook or does anybody know a solution? May 13 19:27:37 Oh and I was able to reach it perfectly fine with the standard linksys firmware May 13 19:40:32 Hmm, seems everybody is more or less away. I'll check back here every now and then May 13 20:40:09 how do i get rtorrent to load only some files not all? May 13 20:45:24 Hey guys, I fixed my first issue but have a new question. The wiki says 'Rule #1: The root device must be connected to USB Port 2.' because: clearly USB Port 1 is the most flexible port May 13 20:46:14 however, in my case disk 2 is the most flexible port since it accepts pen drives as well as hard disks. can this be or am i mistaken? May 13 20:47:20 waltervos: I don't understand your question - what is different about your disk 2 port? Or are you saying that your disk enclosure accepts pen drives as well as a hard drive? May 13 20:54:10 mwester: there are two usb ports on the back of the slug. disk1 and disk2. disk1 only works with usb hard drives, disk2 with usb hard drives as well as pen drives May 13 20:55:12 the wiki states that the most flexible port should remain available. disk2 would be the most flexible port right? in the wiki it's the other way around May 13 20:57:49 waltervos: From the wiki, paragraph titled "But This is Just Wrong!": "The Linksys documentation is simply out-of-date." May 13 20:58:58 Ah yes. Thank you! I did read that the first time but started having doubts now that I'm actually going to unsling! May 13 20:59:27 See also: http://www.nslu2-linux.org/wiki/Unslung/R63DiskBehaviour for the actual behavior of the R63 Linksys firmware as it relates to disks - you'll note that it is quite different from what is printed on the NSLU2 itself. May 13 21:01:01 Thanks mwester, I'm turning everything back on here and will start to unsling May 13 21:01:10 * waltervos is excited :-) May 13 21:57:52 I've unslung! May 13 21:58:05 now going to bed. thanks for your help mwester May 13 23:31:53 is there a reason busybox does not include the telnet client? May 13 23:32:06 I need to be able to telnet out of the nslu2 May 13 23:35:55 anyone know a package that contains a telnet client? May 13 23:38:57 nm, found it via google May 13 23:39:01 inetutils **** ENDING LOGGING AT Wed May 14 02:59:57 2008
