**** BEGIN LOGGING AT Sat Dec 19 02:59:56 2009 Dec 19 17:42:48 hi Dec 19 17:44:26 Is it possible to use the backup function from the webinterface after installing Unslung? Dec 19 17:45:19 the backup from DISK1 to DISK2 is working fine with the standard firmware right now. Dec 19 17:45:46 Yes. Written up on the wiki. Dec 19 17:47:20 And, if you are using R63 or newer Linksys firmware, your disk-to-disk backup is *not* working fine -- there's a Linksys bug that results in not all the data being copied. *YOUR* data is fine, it's internal house-keeping data that gets lost in some cases; enough so that you can't replace a failed DISK1 with the copy that should be on DISK2 in all cases. Dec 19 17:47:44 The wiki documentation that describes the new disk-to-disk copy script solves that problem as well. Dec 19 17:48:56 thank you mwester Dec 19 17:49:43 yesterday i've installed the new firmware R63 because of password problems after unslinging Dec 19 17:50:36 i cant find the old firmware and the linksys support said there is no old firmware on their ftp... Dec 19 17:50:51 like R25 Dec 19 17:55:39 is there a mirror for the old firmware? i really can't find a link! Dec 19 17:56:57 No idea. Why would you want old firmware, though? Dec 19 18:07:01 hmm Dec 19 18:08:36 where do you find the section in the wiki with new disk-to-disk copy script for R63-Unslung? Dec 19 18:26:30 The search tool is your friend. :) http://www.nslu2-linux.org/wiki/HowTo/FixTheDriveBackupForUnslungFirmware Dec 19 19:39:29 Mike, people don't search. Don't be so daft ;) Dec 19 20:22:10 :) no, I think people just give up too soon, the wiki is rather large and you get a lot of hits. Dec 20 02:16:38 How do I install SANE on slugosBE? I was told to make a folder and put the unstable version in it. Dec 20 02:16:56 I have made the folder it is at...
