**** BEGIN LOGGING AT Mon May 09 02:59:58 2011 May 09 10:34:25 Hello. May 09 10:34:36 Is there a channel for questions specific to Unslug? May 09 10:34:52 unslung* May 09 10:49:37 Basically my problem is that although my users, groups and shares seem setup correctly, I cannot manage to mount my share with RW permissions. May 09 10:49:47 gvfs mounts things read only May 09 10:49:57 and if I try to mount from command line instead, I get this: May 09 10:50:26 $ sudo mount -t cifs -o username=siovene, uid=siovene, gid=siovene,rw "//192.168.1.2/test" /media/slug/ May 09 10:50:28 [sudo] password for siovene: May 09 10:50:30 mount: block device //192.168.1.2/test is write-protected, mounting read-only May 09 10:50:32 mount: cannot mount block device //192.168.1.2/test read-only May 09 10:50:51 Why is the block device write-protected? May 09 10:53:24 if I specify the password in the command line above (password=verysecret) then it's mounted but I still get Permission Denied when I try to write. May 09 12:11:34 Update: it looks like the problem is just for some directories. **** ENDING LOGGING AT Tue May 10 02:59:58 2011
