Feb 09 04:37:26 joshin: thx Feb 09 04:39:18 Happy to help! Hopefully he can try it out tonight so that I can fix anything I may have missed tomorrow. If I had a few more days notice, I could have gone to SCALE too. Feb 09 05:22:39 03rwhitby * r683 10kernel/trunk/patches/2.6.20/ (11-mtdpart-redboot-config-byteswap.patch series): Reinstated 11-mtdpart-redboot-config-byteswap.patch - required for SlugOS/LE boot Feb 09 05:59:30 joshin_: ka6sox has the rootfs, thx. Feb 09 08:44:57 Hi, guys. May I ask a question again? Which nslu firmwares run in bug-endian mode? Feb 09 08:46:51 unslung, openslug Feb 09 08:47:46 And they do have some PCI devices (wifi modules?) onboard? Feb 09 08:47:58 I mean, the nslu2, of cource. Feb 09 08:49:27 s/cource/course/ Feb 09 08:49:27 xl0 meant: I mean, the nslu2, of course. Feb 09 08:49:32 ;) Feb 09 08:49:54 x10, only USB Feb 09 08:50:31 Really a grammar bot? Feb 09 08:54:12 ka6sox-away: I'm asking, because to me it seems that the ixp42x PCI is somewhat broken in the linux kernel. To me it seems that it performs byte swapping twice, once in the hardware, and once in the ioread/iowrite16/32(). Any ideas, is there any device, which has PCI and runs linux? Feb 09 08:54:48 I think you can get a freecom FSG3 that has a mini-pci in it. Feb 09 08:57:59 time for me to Pumpkin...tommorrow is SCALE. Feb 09 08:58:45 later ka6sox-away Feb 09 08:59:44 cya in about 13hrs. Feb 09 09:00:16 Is nslu2 only anout the NAS, or it also covers the WRT wifi routers? Feb 09 09:00:41 www.nslu2-linux.org (lookin the left hand column about all the targets) Feb 09 09:01:13 Jacques: bring your slug button. Feb 09 09:01:44 my wha? Feb 09 09:02:04 the Button that I made last year (2" diameter) Feb 09 09:02:16 ah, hmm. I wonder where I put it Feb 09 09:02:21 I'll look for it Feb 09 09:02:35 kewl...dyoung found his and I did mine too. Feb 09 09:03:25 call me when you clear the arrival gate. Feb 09 09:03:36 I'll be on my way over. Feb 09 09:05:07 will do Feb 09 10:42:56 03rwhitby * r684 10kernel/trunk/ (7 files in 2 dirs): Added arm-kernel-shim, so I can test it here without interfering with SlugOS Feb 09 14:24:51 I just flash my NSLU2 with openwrt (openwrt-nslu2-2.6-jffs2-128k), the flashing process went ok. but I can't log in. I get a red light on the status led. Anyone had any success doing this? Feb 10 00:05:22 anyone here running debian /nslu2? Feb 10 00:08:04 <[g2]> jason0_ probably a few Feb 10 00:09:15 [g2] Silly question I guess. My real question has to do w/ powering down the hdd. It seems that if I manual power it down it starts right back up. I'm assuming there is constant activity occuring that makes it spin up again. Is there a way to minimize this? Feb 10 00:09:57 <[g2]> jason0_ well there are the log files and swap Feb 10 00:10:08 <[g2]> it really depends on what you are doing on the box Feb 10 00:11:05 Right now I'm running torrentflux with an active torrent. But when it's done I'd prefer that the drive spin down. Feb 10 00:11:47 <[g2]> jason0_ then find out which processes are accessing the drive :) Feb 10 00:11:55 <[g2]> lsof is your friend :) Feb 10 00:12:11 <[g2]> you can also see disk stats in proc iirc Feb 10 00:12:33 <[g2]> so you can see if the i/o's are reads or writes and how many **** ENDING LOGGING AT Sat Feb 10 02:59:57 2007
