Mar 15 12:21:50 I keep getting the following error: Nothing to be done Mar 15 12:21:50 An error ocurred, return value: 4. Mar 15 12:21:50 Collected errors: Mar 15 12:21:51 Cannot find package rtorrent. Mar 15 13:56:53 is this the place for wl500g firmware discussions? Mar 15 14:25:06 hi all. anyone here running slugos? Mar 15 14:40:43 lotsa slugos running here Mar 15 15:28:46 03bzhou * r7980 10optware/trunk/ (make/logrotate.mk sources/logrotate/postinst): logrotate: create dirs, migrate logrotate.status Mar 15 15:41:26 03bzhou * r7981 10optware/trunk/make/net-tools.mk: net-tools: moved ifconfig to /opt/bin to avoid update-alternative conflict with busybox or inetutils Mar 15 16:40:55 re Mar 15 16:41:31 in setting up a slugos cross compile enviroment, I ran into the issue where the setup-env script when sourced, logs me out of the shell. I'd encountered this before but I forget the solution. it has something to do with the OE config file or something. Can anyone remind me what that's about? Mar 15 16:44:31 Yoiu don't source it; just type ". ./setup-env" Mar 15 16:45:50 same behavior either way. I gorgot to make slugoos-image Mar 15 16:45:52 works now Mar 15 16:45:58 er forgot Mar 15 16:46:33 the thing is, it really shouldn't be a reqwuirement that you need to make slugos-image just to get the config files into place Mar 15 16:47:26 the needed config file should be included in setup-slugos-4.8-beta and other setup-slugos version targets Mar 15 16:47:38 at least from what I can tell Mar 15 16:48:56 I expect patches (tested) will be happily accepted by the maintainer of the master makefile :) Mar 15 16:49:23 I'm not a makefile guru by any means Mar 15 16:49:43 I wouldn't be confident providing makefile patches Mar 15 16:50:27 I can do autoconf sort of, but not this interesting mastermakefile arrangement. It's impressive but rather alien to me, to do what you guys have done in this makefile Mar 15 16:51:02 the related lines seem to be: Mar 15 16:51:04 sed -i -e 's/^MACHINE[[:space:]]*=[[:space:]]*\".*\"/MACHINE = \"nslu2be\"/' conf/auto.conf Mar 15 16:51:28 echo "TOPDIR='`pwd`'" >conf/topdir.conf. conf/topdir.conf && test "`pwd`" = "$TOPDIR" || echo "TOPDIR='`pwd`'" > conf/topdir.conf Mar 15 16:52:08 I believe those should be executed at the end of any setup-slugos- target Mar 15 16:52:33 now to see about the toolchain... Mar 15 16:52:53 here goes.... back in (hopefully) 3 hours Mar 15 17:30:43 03bzhou * r7982 10optware/trunk/ (make/git.mk sources/git/templates-Makefile.patch): git: 1.5.4.1 -> 1.5.4.4 Mar 16 00:14:53 i have to reset my sysconf Mar 16 00:15:08 i will do that tomorrow, now i'm tired Mar 16 00:15:10 good night Mar 16 01:17:27 rwhitby: I take it zlib-native builds properly on the autobuild box. Patches fail on my build box. seems rather a basic package to be having build problems Mar 16 01:18:10 heh. and when I try to build it seperately, it works like a champ... (got past patch anyway) Mar 16 01:18:20 odd Mar 16 01:20:05 the behavior I'm seeing here seems to be that random packages fail to build when they're part of a long dependency tree, but build fine when done seperately Mar 16 01:20:45 seems to be native packages primarily Mar 16 01:21:56 so guessin it relates to something basic missing from my build box Mar 16 01:22:14 this time it's file-native Mar 16 01:22:25 but when built seperately, it's fine... Mar 16 01:22:27 weird Mar 16 01:23:01 ok, alays appears to fail in do_patch Mar 16 01:23:05 hmm Mar 16 02:04:39 rwhitby: yeah. but it's making me reconsider the slug as my onboard processor for my current project... Mar 16 02:05:18 I guess I'll know later tonight once my build of the, now fixed, HEAD... Mar 16 02:05:51 rwhitby: perhaps you could test it on your slug for me? Mar 16 02:06:15 Or anybody else for that matter: here's the setup and error: here's the error and setup details: http://pastebin.ca/944374 Mar 16 02:14:26 VoodooZ: :( Works for me on both a DSM-G600 and a slug. Mar 16 02:14:54 I'll try a bigger file... Mar 16 02:30:36 VoodooZ: 90MByte file sent from slug to fedora host via nc without problem. :( Mar 16 02:32:17 mwester: ok. which version of slugos are we talking about? Mar 16 02:34:23 mwester: making a lot of progress toward getting callweaver to build against 4.8-beta. I ran into an issue with the svn ssl cert not being from a recognized CA. Where does the fingerprint need to go to manually accept it? It appears the mechanism prompted ot accept or reject, but it then skipped ahead not allowing me to enter Y or N. What would need to be done in the autobuild enviroment to deal with this? Mar 16 02:35:05 hillct: we usually just run that recipe again by hand to accept the cert Mar 16 02:35:12 VoodooZ: a build from a day or three ago; I can't really keep track of what's installed on which one lately. But it was very recent. Mar 16 02:35:22 K Mar 16 02:35:27 hillct: wget manually works really well too. Mar 16 02:35:49 You may have to create the .md5 file in the downloads dir yourself, but that's easy. Mar 16 02:36:43 BTW, I hope that you have a master downloads dir, and you are symlinking it to your SlugOS (or any other OE) build area -- by doing that, you'll save a lot of time. Mar 16 02:37:54 (my downloads directory is 5.3 GBytes now) Mar 16 02:41:52 mwester: yeah. I understand. the load I'm having problems with is not recent so I'll know in a few minutes when my new head build completes. Mar 16 02:41:57 thanks for trying.. Mar 16 02:44:55 mwester: I do have the single download directory. In order to write the md5 file, I need to better understand the file naming convention for stored tarballs resulting from SVN checkouts Mar 16 02:45:06 the error output I get, is here: http://www.pastebin.ca/944456 Mar 16 02:46:11 oh, I have the lock file. Easy enough. MelanieTaylor_svn.callweaver.org_.callweaver-sounds.trunk.sounds.en_US_1_.tar.gz.md5 Mar 16 02:46:21 geez. what a filename... Mar 16 02:52:50 hehe! Mar 16 02:59:14 ok, clearly I missed something. the md5 file is for content validity of the downloaded tarball, but where do I need to put the cert fingerprint to handle the cert validity issue? Mar 16 02:59:35 is there a fingerprints file that I just haven't found? **** ENDING LOGGING AT Sun Mar 16 02:59:56 2008
