**** BEGIN LOGGING AT Sat Oct 24 02:59:59 2015 Oct 24 06:53:25 hi, anyone know where the user www-data is created? I have a package that uses it in its do_install task, but on first run it fails since the user is not there yet. On second run (after all other packages have been build successfully) it succeeds without an issue. I couldnt find anything with grepping for www-data through all the recipes. Oct 24 06:54:29 * tbr would suspect a webserver recipe Oct 24 06:56:17 yes, there is one: recipes-httpd/nostromo, that isn't built. Oct 24 06:59:27 so that can't be the one.and on the target www-data does exists (as do several others) Oct 24 08:26:29 mvader: iirc it's in the base passwd file? Oct 24 08:32:22 yes! that is it Oct 24 08:32:54 nerdboy: thank you Oct 24 08:33:43 some of the webserver packages create it Oct 24 08:34:05 meta-openembedded/meta-webserver/recipes-httpd/nginx/nginx_1.4.4.bb Oct 24 08:35:19 so you can either create it or depend on the passwd package i guess Oct 24 08:36:34 yes, I'll depend on the base-passwd package Oct 24 15:01:01 Hi guys, quick question. I've got a pre-release of the CHIP board and I'm interested in porting OE/Angstrom there. Is there any newbie guide for doing so?
