**** BEGIN LOGGING AT Wed Feb 23 02:59:57 2022 Feb 23 09:26:11 can a mulitconfig build and a normal build be mixed? for small changes it seems to be faster to build for a single MACHINE e.g. will that confuse things if you do them both at the same time? Feb 23 10:10:26 moto-timo: This should work better: https://pastebin.com/bvC6x7kH Feb 23 10:12:57 Basically, don't use anonymous python here as you only want it to be run if the recipe is actually built, you need to look for the file in ${S} and you actually need to check that it exists. Feb 23 14:12:52 OEHH in ~7 hours! https://www.openembedded.org/wiki/Happy_Hours Feb 23 15:26:44 is that the Happiest Place on Earth? Feb 23 15:35:26 hello. I'm experiencing an interesting issue when building "-c populate_sdk" --> file /usr/lib/gcc/arm-poky-linux-gnueabi/8.2.0/include conflicts between attempted installs of libgomp-dev-8.2.0-r0.armv7at2hf_neon and gcc-8.2.0-r0.armv7at2hf_neon. This only happens in a jenkins environment and I am not able to reproduce this locally. Has anyone seen Feb 23 15:35:26 this before? Feb 23 15:46:35 armpit: yes… but only for 1 hour Feb 23 15:49:33 after that everyone turns back into a pumpkin Feb 23 16:43:11 Guest56: apparently no one else has seen that. Are you using only poky/oe-core and only other open source layers? What release is this? You could check/open a bug in: https://bugzilla.yoctoproject.org/ Feb 23 17:38:11 vmeson: sorry, different username, same person. yes I am using the Phytec Thud release for their am57xx SOM. The only (main) modifications is a backport of python 3.7 but I don't see that relating to this issue at all. Like I said this issue only seems to occur when built in a specific Jenkins environment...but the exact same build performed Feb 23 17:38:12 locally does not result in this issue Feb 23 17:51:11 Guest5629: hi again. Thud isn't supported now (https://wiki.yoctoproject.org/wiki/Releases ) Can you reproduce on Dunfell or newer and if it's still happening, report a bug? Feb 23 17:52:07 Guest5629: alternatively, you should contact Phytec I suppose. Feb 23 17:52:19 vmeson: unfortunately not. gotta stick with Thud. I appreciate your responses. Thank you Feb 23 17:52:32 kanavin_: the circle is complete - going back to Intel? :) Feb 23 17:52:39 Guest5629: understood. good luck. Feb 23 17:54:27 denix, yes and no :) for linutronix it's business as usual in the short to medium term - it is still a separate company managed by the same two guys (tglx and Heinz). What has changed is who owns the company. Feb 23 17:55:07 kanavin_: ah, good to hear! Feb 23 17:57:25 denix, in the longer term I can't predict how it will play out, and I don't want to be making conspiracy theories :) as far as tglx is around it should be ok, but when he retires things might go downhill. Feb 23 17:59:53 kanavin_: understood. and good luck! Feb 23 18:00:52 denix, for what it's worth, at this point in my career I fully subscribe to this https://drewdevault.com/2021/01/01/Megacorps-are-not-your-dream-job.html Feb 23 18:01:04 I'm soooo much happier in small boutique consultancy Feb 23 18:03:38 heh, indeed, I know what you mean now as well... Feb 23 19:42:30 moto-timo: Not sure if you saw my answer to your plea for more brain cells. If you didn't, it is some eight hours back in the log. Feb 23 19:52:57 Saur[m]: I did. Thank you. Still fighting fires in oe-core/master-next... much closer though! Feb 23 19:53:34 and then to tackle meta-oe/meta-python fallout Feb 23 19:55:14 kanavin_: denix: you both know I agree Feb 23 19:58:03 answer about wheels: https://www.python.org/dev/peps/pep-0491/#escaping-and-unicode Feb 23 19:58:35 so PIP_INSTALL_PACKAGE should take PYPI_PACKAGE as default but sub _ for - Feb 23 19:59:18 this should make meta-python/meta-oe/meta-networking much more likely to _install_ wheels successfuly Feb 23 20:00:28 except for recipes that don't inherit pypi :/ Feb 23 21:04:01 * bluelightning has a conflict for the happy hour :( Feb 23 21:16:36 Is the happy hour now? Feb 23 21:17:38 it is Feb 23 22:00:38 was everyone happy! Feb 23 22:00:47 s/!/?/ Feb 23 22:01:36 still time to get happy as well :) Feb 23 22:46:38 if you like nostalgia ;) Feb 23 22:54:31 zeddii: I'm always puzzled whether I can attend Feb 23 23:02:54 ;) Feb 23 23:30:54 JPEW: ping. wanted your opinion on https://github.com/garmin/pyrex/pull/76 Feb 23 23:52:17 denix: I've scripted the fixed to the cgit section info so the git listing will stay clean. Feb 23 23:52:54 Habbie: great, thanks! Feb 23 23:53:07 halstead: sorry... great, thanks! Feb 23 23:53:22 :) Feb 23 23:53:43 autocomplete failure :) Feb 23 23:57:37 denix: we'll need to keep support for the old variables I think.... Don't need to translate, but the same core code needs to support older version of yocto also **** ENDING LOGGING AT Thu Feb 24 02:59:56 2022
