**** BEGIN LOGGING AT Sun Apr 27 03:00:01 2014 Apr 27 16:07:04 I have used builldroot for a period of time, now I need to do distribution image Apr 27 16:07:19 I can't make decision from openwrt to open embedded Apr 27 16:07:35 I have used openwrt before Apr 27 16:07:50 but gnutoo suggest me to use open embedded before Apr 27 16:08:46 could anyone tell me you experience about them Apr 27 16:09:09 the target system is a old kernel with mmu Apr 27 16:09:21 which project support them better? Apr 27 18:58:52 ayaka: OpenWrt is wonderful when you are building for a constrained system. OE is better for a full-featured device with X.org and GUI apps etc. Apr 27 18:59:32 OpenWrt requires one to know a lot of Makefile syntax. With OE you need to learn bitbake and its ways. Apr 27 19:37:55 dunno which is more twisted though :> Apr 27 19:38:33 (but yeah I wouldn't even try using owrt/buildroot for full-blown stuff) Apr 27 19:38:46 (OE all the way for those things) **** ENDING LOGGING AT Mon Apr 28 02:59:59 2014
