**** BEGIN LOGGING AT Fri Feb 12 02:59:56 2010 Feb 12 04:41:00 doc Feb 12 04:41:28 its installed but going to change Feb 12 10:09:57 Hello all, trying to install navit to SHR as per the instructions on the wiki (http://wiki.openmoko.org/wiki/Navit#Setting_up_Navit) Those instructions add a new repo for navit but when I do a opkg install of navit it pulls from the build.shr-project.org/shr-unstable repo. The only reason I'm asking is I can't get navit to work on SHR and wondered if I might be better forcing the navit repo? Feb 12 10:11:47 Arigead: it should be better to use SHR feed, what's the problem with it? Feb 12 10:14:17 h4v: hard to say :-( when I run it from a ssh session it pops up the GUI but as soon as I touch the screen it dies. The only thing reported on the terminal is "sh: gdb: not found" Feb 12 11:47:52 how to identify what GSM firmware I'm running? (wondering if I should patch it to get GSM working) Feb 12 11:54:30 jaacoppi: if you've never upgraded gsm firmware, do it. Feb 12 11:58:53 it's a used phone and the previous owner said it should be the newest. Guess I'll update just in case Feb 12 12:00:20 jaacoppi: on SHR you can check in shr-settings Feb 12 12:11:36 Heinervdm: thanks. I don't even have "SOS only" with or without sim installed, and the previous owner said it worked a month ago. strange Feb 12 13:38:45 Hi there Feb 12 13:40:31 i am thinking about selling my Freerunner A6. What do you guys think i could get for it? Neither Konqueror nor FF were able to display it, but a number of JS processes were spawned which ate my CPU Feb 12 18:18:22 hm, I've experienced two complete lockups with my FreeRunner, lately Feb 12 18:19:32 when it happens, the FR looks like it's off (but it should be on), and I cannot turn on unless I remove and add the battery again Feb 12 18:29:18 ThibG: we seen this before. Without any further info it's not exaclty a helpful report Feb 12 18:31:30 ok Feb 12 18:31:41 unfortunately, I haven't got more info Feb 12 18:32:06 or, maybe, a bit: I'm running SHR from a few days ago Feb 12 18:35:31 for recent SHR-U there've been a number of similar reports. Feb 13 00:32:11 following these instructions http://wiki.openmoko.org/wiki/GSM/Flashing#uSD-card_Image_.28GTA02_only.29 Feb 13 00:37:56 hi Feb 13 00:38:32 hey Feb 13 00:39:50 If somebody could advice me on this Debian install on the uSDcard, I have this install log, but the end of the log is unclear for me: considering that I've install Debian on /media/card, why I have this message: Feb 13 00:39:53 http://pastebin.com/m4a1ded3b Feb 13 00:39:55 ? Feb 13 00:48:18 Any Ideas? Feb 13 00:49:46 That's my second attempt to install Debian today, The first one was unsuccessful due to probably corrupted files. Feb 13 00:50:18 Now I'm ready to reboot but I don't know what to do with the last warning Feb 13 00:51:02 follow those last directions? Feb 13 02:07:49 if you're using bash (which should be.possible to find out) you probably want to read 'man bash' Feb 13 02:09:09 If /root/.bashrc on the FR is the equivalent of /home/.bashrc on a PC, so adding: PATH=$PATH:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin Feb 13 02:09:09 export PATH, Feb 13 02:09:13 should be fine Feb 13 02:23:25 DocScrutinizer51: my sim card seems to not be recognized on uSD Debian, so should I reboot on NAND QtMoko and off the GSM or what?
