Returns http://paste.debian.net/200 OK here Feb 11 14:11:52 PaulFertser: works for me **** BEGIN LOGGING AT Fri Feb 11 15:15:53 2011 Feb 11 21:27:01 Hi all guys! I know this may be an inappropriate channel to ask this, but sincerely I can't find real answers to this question. I'm using an umts modem - which works with a Y usb cable connected to 2 usb ports. If I connect a single port the device works apparently the same way. So - do I need an Y usb cable anyway? And, in general, why Y cable exists? Feb 11 21:27:55 the other input is for extra power, in case it can't get enough from the one port Feb 11 21:28:27 (it possibly wants more than the spec allows for) Feb 11 21:28:32 mjr: ok. But if I know the device works with a single cable even, I can surely ignore the other port, right? Feb 11 21:28:55 probably, unless it stops Feb 11 21:30:13 mjr: ... ok! thank you very much! I allways searched for some hints about it but ... it seems usb.org doesn't speak about them at all. But I'm not a good web-page seeker these days Feb 11 21:50:30 mrkiko: I just asked because only openmoko users spoke about Y cables :) Feb 11 21:59:42 :D **** ENDING LOGGING AT Sat Feb 12 02:59:57 2011
