Oct 26 03:50:04 * rektide nods Oct 26 04:15:59 rektide: before I went out I took a look through the upstream uboot code and it does not look like there are marvell SATA drivers in it. Oct 26 09:39:55 as anyone tried running netbsd on a sheevaplug ? Oct 26 17:41:45 rabeeh: around? Oct 26 17:51:22 here. for 15minutes Oct 26 17:52:47 rabeeh: whats jasper? :) Oct 26 17:53:34 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jasper ? Oct 26 17:53:39 bah Oct 26 17:53:42 :) Oct 26 17:53:44 no idea Oct 26 17:53:55 plug related? Oct 26 17:53:59 where did you see it Oct 26 17:54:02 rabeeh: marvell jasper http://www.arm.linux.org.uk/developer/machines/list.php?id=2382 Oct 26 17:54:38 Jasper is the evolution board of Marvell. Oct 26 17:54:49 i'm not familiar with this board ! Oct 26 17:56:21 i wonder whats an evolution board? :P Oct 27 00:36:35 Hi, I have been trying to hack Debian Squeeze onto my Sheevaplug using the Installer method. but getting an error on boot. Anyone got any ideas? http://pastebin.com/m2e92655 Oct 27 00:37:36 ou probably didn't set root= correctly Oct 27 00:37:44 did you insatll to usb or sd? what does 'printenv' say? Oct 27 00:38:29 printenv at the u-boot enviroment? Oct 27 00:38:41 yeah Oct 27 00:39:56 http://pastebin.com/m72de001 Oct 27 00:40:42 yeah, # Oct 27 00:40:42 bootcmd=setenv bootargs $(bootargs_console) $(mtdpartitions) $(bootargs_root); nand read.e 0x00800000 0x00100000 0x00400000; bootm 0x00800000 Oct 27 00:40:58 seems you didn't change bootargs as described at http://cyrius.com/debian/kirkwood/sheevaplug/install.html Oct 27 00:43:36 Well I wasn't really following that. I wanted squeeze on the internal flash. (which the installer did not do), so I used the debian debbootstrap to create a arm5 rootfs, and then targz it' up and replaced the one in the sheeva installer 1.0 Oct 27 00:43:52 it all sorta worked until reboot time :-( Oct 27 00:44:03 It was always a longshot!!! Oct 27 00:44:04 ok, no idea then Oct 27 00:45:34 I was assuming the filesystem layout for booting would be the same between ubuntu and Debian that it would boot without changing anything but the files in the rootfs.gz with the debian ones. **** ENDING LOGGING AT Tue Oct 27 02:59:56 2009
