**** BEGIN LOGGING AT Tue Dec 31 02:59:58 2013 Dec 31 20:23:48 is Ubuntu arm compatible with a ARM Cortex-A9 processor?? Dec 31 20:39:05 tacorwin: Yes. Dec 31 20:41:12 how can I flash it onto an android netbook? Dec 31 20:43:03 and thanks infinity Dec 31 20:46:32 tacorwin: That second question is much more involved. Just because our userspace runs on A9 SOCs (and it does), doesn't mean we ship a kernel or an installer that supports your specific product (we probably dont). Dec 31 20:47:01 So you'd need to find a kernel that works, and figure out a clever way to get ubuntu-core on there as a chroot in your Android setup, or as the new base system. Dec 31 20:50:06 seeing as I'm not the smartest person when it comes to the whole "replacing Android with another os", this seems a bit over my head. is there any easy way to learn this? Dec 31 21:06:39 tacorwin: Mostly just diving in and getting your hands dirty. Or finding a friend who knows what they're doing to help and/or do it for you. Dec 31 21:09:38 does this involve any programming, besides sh? Dec 31 21:10:47 tacorwin: Probably not, if you can find a kernel that works (and if your device runs Android, then you already have one). Dec 31 21:12:23 yeah, it runs android. Dec 31 21:16:30 I really do appreciate all of the help infinity! Dec 31 21:16:38 thanks! **** ENDING LOGGING AT Wed Jan 01 02:59:58 2014
