**** BEGIN LOGGING AT Fri Oct 01 02:59:56 2021 **** BEGIN LOGGING AT Fri Oct 01 07:03:39 2021 Oct 01 12:28:08 is there any good reason why apt on my 20.04 arm64 (RPi4) keeps the 'fwupd' and 'fwupd-signed' packages from upgrading? (when doing apt upgrade) Oct 01 12:28:27 the newest candidate is 1.5.11-0ubuntu1~20.04.2, and my currently installed one is 1.3.11-1~focal1 Oct 01 12:29:36 seems like 15 new packages or so will install, if i insist on a manual upgrade Oct 01 12:41:48 seems pointless to have fwupd on Pi, but perhaps waveform_ plans to use it in the images in the future somehow ... Oct 01 12:49:42 bankin, ogra, fwupd is *largely* unused on the pi but might have some role depending on what's plugged in (e.g. there's stuff in there for wacom tablets IIRC, and presumably a few other USB things). It certainly doesn't deal with the only firmware built into the pi though (the boot firmware); that's dealt with by the rpi-eeprom package Oct 01 12:50:57 great! thanks for clarifying **** ENDING LOGGING AT Sat Oct 02 02:59:57 2021
