I'm trying to find the culprit, and I thought it might be uberkernel (which I dont quite understand), but the problem persists *after* I remove all patches and applications, and after running emergency file verification.

Nov 02 01:10:04 <sammy> rwhitby: I found it in the source code for libpurple posted on palm's site. sorry, i know thats a 'have you looked!?' question. there's a libpurple bug (and apparently a bug with a bot on jabbim.cz) and we were trying to track if it'd been fixed in the latest libpurple code or not
