**** BEGIN LOGGING AT Fri Apr 25 02:59:58 2014 Apr 25 05:52:38 earthnative: that is too short... but battery life depends a lot on reception for me. At home with wifi on and decent GSM signal, my devices can last for like 24-36 hours. On my workplace with really bad reception they usually die off after 12 hours, too. But it's the same with my android phone. Apr 25 06:19:42 Garfonso: my iphone (4s) lasts about 24 hours with zero use. the pre3 is dropping faster even in aeroplane mode :/ Apr 25 06:20:53 (and I have an android in the house but it's always on power, as it's the SMS gateway for my nagios) Apr 25 08:58:13 earthnative: With every thing turned off it should really last longer, i think you might need a new battery! Apr 25 08:58:28 I am trying to remember where i got mine from... Apr 25 09:08:01 The bigist battry life saver i find thoug is disabling mobile data Apr 25 09:08:43 I am mostly at work or at home and get Wifi at each Apr 25 09:10:31 Mobile data takes a lot of power to keep intouch with cels, i did consider making a little app to disable data when i was in Wifi range but i am way to lazzy Apr 25 09:31:20 *nods* Apr 25 09:31:55 any idea how much openssh draws? That's the only thing I can think of that I've installed that'd be running in the background Apr 25 11:19:27 DrOwl: maybe modeswitcher can do that already. Apr 25 11:19:54 earthnative: openssh is not notable, if no client is connected Apr 25 11:21:04 Garfonso: Oh Maybe... I never really did more then glance at modeswitcher! Apr 25 11:21:16 Ill have to get it out and have a look see Apr 25 12:50:31 Garfonso: *nods* so far I've been unable to connect anyway *shrugs* Apr 25 12:52:05 it only allows key authentication, so you have to populated /var/home/root/.ssh/authorized_keys with your public keys. Apr 25 12:52:32 at least the optware ssh server Apr 25 12:53:10 oh gar. ssh keys I always get backwards Apr 25 12:53:41 I think I did the same last time too, before I realised. thank you :) **** ENDING LOGGING AT Sat Apr 26 02:59:58 2014
