**** BEGIN LOGGING AT Mon Feb 25 02:59:57 2019 Feb 25 07:32:01 Morning! Feb 25 07:33:42 morning Feb 25 08:06:01 Tofe: do you have Redmi 5 or Redmi Note 5 Pro as daily phone in the end? Feb 25 08:06:20 I should finally replace my daily Nexus 5 with something newer :) Feb 25 08:06:24 The latter, yes Feb 25 08:07:43 It's quite nice, but I think the screen is a wee bit too wide for my little hands Feb 25 08:08:00 What I like most is the battery life (4000mAh) Feb 25 08:09:02 But recently I also had in hand the Redmi 6, and it's quite nice too Feb 25 08:11:00 I'm also considering buying another A1 to have spare parts and another 7.1 backup :) Feb 25 08:11:42 but having 2 identical phones feels a bit like lost opportunity to try something new ;) Feb 25 08:12:36 btw unstable (thud) builds failed due to disk space, will try to clean something Feb 25 08:31:40 Note that the A1 (and A2) are the only ones with Android One, the others come with MIUI, if that's important for you Feb 25 08:47:25 is this size expected? Feb 25 08:47:26 70G workspace/webos-preware-feeds Feb 25 08:47:44 most of it is in: Feb 25 08:47:45 45G workspace/webos-preware-feeds/autopatch Feb 25 09:00:41 found an issue in sstate cleanup script for latest oe-core, might help a bit with disk space Feb 25 09:13:18 JaMa: I have no idea how more space webos-preware-feeds needs Feb 25 10:15:04 BEFORE: 70Gsstate-cache/, AFTER: 57Gsstate-cache/ Feb 25 10:15:28 lets see if 13G will be enough Feb 25 10:42:38 :) **** BEGIN LOGGING AT Mon Feb 25 11:00:19 2019 Feb 25 12:59:23 Hi guys.. just an update regarding that intel tablet thing. This weekend, i tried to boot the virtualbox image .. but that kernel had problems detecting the usb stick with rootfs .. kernel panic.. i tried to use init=webosroot/sbin/init on a franken USB stick image of a debian netinstaller ISO .. and that kernel panicked .. probably due to mismatching libc or something Feb 25 13:01:04 So i guess i will have to manually build another image with the latest kernel (seems to support intel atom nicely!) and efi support directly (so i won't have to manually make these frankenefi images with grub , etc.. from debian installers.. Feb 25 14:20:32 new nodejs in master broke nodejs-module-webos-sysbus and nodejs-module-webos-dynaload again Feb 25 14:20:53 nodejs 8.15.0 -> 10.15.1 Feb 25 14:45:12 Ahh node 8 -> 10 had a lot of breakages even for us.. even breaks gulp etc.. iirc Feb 25 14:46:11 good that for build tests with latest Yocto I can just drop them from the image temporarily :) Feb 25 19:55:57 btw. tried to add meta-intel layer and do MACHINE=intel-corei7-64 luneos-dev-package , but errored out with NOTHING provides libhybris.. So tomorrow/sometime this week, will add more classes to my meta-intel-luneos (modelling this after the way raspberrypi port seems to be done here..) and try things out.. wish me luck/send me your input guys! Feb 25 19:58:38 * saidinesh5 is off to bed Feb 26 00:14:39 heh, we run out of disk space again (during qemux86-64 build) and new updates were merged to thud and sumo branches, so the latest builds aren't latest anymore again and a lot of sstate was invalidated, so the rebuild will take long, sigh Feb 26 00:14:53 triggered the builds and off to bed **** ENDING LOGGING AT Tue Feb 26 02:59:57 2019
