**** BEGIN LOGGING AT Sat Jul 07 02:59:58 2012 Jul 07 03:21:19 so what's new in the last three weeks? Jul 07 03:24:50 invalidopcode: nothing at all Jul 07 03:25:09 HP said they couldn't do anything until you came back from vacation Jul 07 03:25:25 EricBlade: how considerate of them Jul 07 03:25:43 so this webOS CE thing was just some minor bug release then? Jul 07 03:26:09 no it's a major bug creation Jul 07 03:27:05 but the webos-ports people as well as some other people, myself included, have been working on some nice enhancements. hopefully we'll be able to figure out the bugs Jul 07 03:28:00 ah so I have seen Jul 07 03:29:58 CE is basically LunaSysMgr Jul 07 03:30:08 which is basically, the UI Jul 07 03:30:08 ah okay Jul 07 03:30:13 I see Jul 07 03:30:47 It has a few other functions as well, but we've all been playing with UI stuff, the other stuff doesn't seem terribly interesting to anyone yet Jul 07 03:31:26 ah okay. sounds like fun Jul 07 03:40:00 it's pretty neat to be able to do, that's for sure. i've never worked with a GUI system that was this easy to do things in Jul 07 03:40:55 it's got problems with PDK and Flash, though Jul 07 06:00:01 wth Google Play allows users who placed an order back in -April- to request a refund? why do I deal with this crap? Jul 07 08:15:43 RagingMind: well I was in east london last night, and west london now, but if I go to html5demos.com/geo, my laptop has me at home in westlondon, and my phone has me somewhere in east london - I currently have a longitude of about -0.1 but my phone says longitude of 0.1 Jul 07 08:16:35 but last night, when I was in east london, my phone was getting it right. Which suggests the html5 geolocation api does a Math.abs of the result, which is horrible Jul 07 08:16:46 actual mapping apps get it right so this could just be a browser issue Jul 07 08:17:24 but as this issue would mean anyone in USA would appear to be in russia or china, I can't believe it's not been reported before Jul 07 11:33:13 has the source of the browser been made available yet? Jul 07 11:34:20 ahh, that's isis-project.gh.com right? Jul 07 12:56:44 yup, confirmed, that's definitely a bug - if I use phonegap's Geolocation object which wraps the webos Mojo service request for location, then I get back a longitude of -0.07... If I just use the html5 geolocation api, I get back a longitude of 0.07... True on both my pre3 and my touchpad Jul 07 12:56:58 html5 geolocation api is badly broken Jul 07 19:33:13 wow...there's actually a backlog of webos nations articles to read.. how did this happen? Jul 07 19:45:01 EricBlade: yo around? Jul 07 20:22:36 no Jul 07 20:27:16 invalidopcode: no Jul 07 20:37:21 oh ok Jul 07 20:37:30 because I wanted to let you know that I got it to login Jul 07 20:37:48 Lets just say its was a little "user error" :) Jul 07 20:49:13 oh.. i sent you a new one that updates the menu bar to mostly work Jul 07 20:49:45 okay Jul 08 00:38:46 Say good-bye to my launch day Pre- and Hello to brand-spankin'-new Pre2 soon to be FrankenPre2 Jul 08 01:10:59 lesson to self today: do not attempt to configure Boxcar to do notifications for two different google voice accounts on the same boxcar account. this will only end in pain. **** ENDING LOGGING AT Sun Jul 08 02:59:58 2012
