Jan 28 18:18:19 <Herrie> Flexman: LuneOS is basically a fully open source operating system, based on Open webOS that HP open sourced after they decided to "kill" webOS. HP only released certain parts of the OS, so some components were taken from existing open source projects, others were written from scratch
Jan 28 18:19:58 <Herrie> The browser for example is completely rewritten and using Qt 5.5 with QtWebEngine, so it can render pretty much anything modern, where legacy was lacking nowadays (we gained 200 or so points on html5test.com compared to webOS). Other parts are still work in progress. It's still alpha software but improving every month.
