Sep 13 20:32:14 <fishey1> kspr: I ran into the same thing and ended up copying mymachine.conf to mymachine-orig.conf in my own overlay, creating a new mymachine.conf that includes mymachine-orig.conf, and making sure to list my overlay before the one that included the original mymachine.conf
