**** BEGIN LOGGING AT Mon Jun 22 02:59:59 2015 Jun 22 06:38:44 I tried a new mainline kernel and while the build process went fine, I got error ERROR: Nothing RPROVIDES 'i915' when I tried to build my final image...so I'm not sure what went wrong in the process Jun 22 07:16:15 good morning Jun 22 07:16:17 good morning Jun 22 07:16:48 <_4urele_> good morning Jun 22 07:17:19 <_4urele_> did someone already tried to build openjdk with wayland? Jun 22 07:19:43 I tried a new mainline kernel and while the build process went fine, I got error ERROR: Nothing RPROVIDES 'i915' when I tried to build my final image...so I'm not sure what went wrong in the process Jun 22 08:08:16 good morning Jun 22 08:11:18 hello all Jun 22 08:12:51 hello all Jun 22 08:13:24 I tried a new mainline kernel and while the build process went fine, I got error ERROR: Nothing RPROVIDES 'i915' when I tried to build my final image...so I'm not sure what went wrong in the process Jun 22 08:32:17 hi all Jun 22 08:33:05 I need some help buildind maliit Jun 22 08:33:57 there is a layer wich is deprecated, and when removing the line got an error : cannot access *.pro: No such file or directory Jun 22 08:34:04 but S variable is correctly st Jun 22 08:34:10 set* Jun 22 08:36:13 also, when I try to buils from source with QtCreator, I get : dbus-binding-tool: Command not found Jun 22 08:37:15 but this one is located at /usr/local/oecore-x86_64/sysroots/armv7at2hf-vfp-neon-angstrom-linux-gnueabi/usr/bin/dbus-binding-tool (and environment variables are set) Jun 22 08:37:23 can someone help me ? thanks Jun 22 08:42:06 I suggest that you build the project successfully without Yocto first. Jun 22 08:42:20 and once that is done, paste a bit more error. Jun 22 08:46:26 if I specifically add folder containing dbus-binding-tool in PATH and then compile again, I get dbus-binding-tool: Syntax error: word unexpected (expecting ")") Jun 22 12:39:45 hi guys Jun 22 16:33:52 Hi Jun 22 17:54:11 i wanted to run a python3 script on a do_configure_append(), but it always uses python2 Jun 22 17:54:24 is there a var like ${PYTHON} to do it ? Jun 22 18:12:24 * kergoth works on his prototype recipetool appendsrcfile Jun 22 19:05:19 realBigfoot: I believe bitbake only supports python2 Jun 22 19:06:48 not relevent. bitbake uses python2, that doesnt' mean you can't build python3 or python3-native Jun 22 19:15:53 ftonello, kergoth i got figured out i had to inherit python3native Jun 22 19:16:06 ah, yeah, makes sense, that'll add its bindir to the PATH Jun 22 19:50:19 hey guys Jun 22 19:51:14 hey Jun 22 19:53:26 could somebody help me with this one: http://ix.io/jfw ? Jun 22 20:02:50 zloy, i have never seen this error however, it looks like he failed on do_patch phase of linux-yocto-custom Jun 22 20:03:02 you have to take a look at the patches to see what the problem is Jun 22 20:05:46 realBigfoot: actually, I think the problem in this line(s): ls: cannot access .meta*: No such file or directory Jun 22 20:05:56 find: '.meta/cfg/scratch': No such file or directory Jun 22 20:10:25 zloy, try this (https://software.intel.com/en-us/forums/topic/277648): sudo dpkg-reconfigure dash Jun 22 20:14:00 redengin: actually I am using Exherbo with bash shell :) Jun 22 20:17:54 hmm, can you make the /bin/sh -> dash? Jun 22 20:18:49 perhaps just installing dash will do it? http://git.exherbo.org/summer/packages/app-shells/dash/index.html Jun 22 20:19:13 current yocto doesn't require that /bin/sh be bash Jun 22 20:19:30 hasn't been required for quite a long time, actually Jun 22 20:20:27 kergoth, yes, but the link made it sound like there might be a dependency on dash Jun 22 20:21:01 that link is from 2012. Jun 22 20:21:13 and it would have been a dependency on bash, not dash Jun 22 20:21:22 you reconfigure dash to tell it not to use dash as /bin/sh and use bash instead Jun 22 20:21:25 but again, that's not needed anymore Jun 22 20:22:45 hm Jun 22 20:23:16 kergoth, ah, my mistake I figured reconfigure would reset the link to dash Jun 22 20:23:51 reconfigure pops up an ncurses interface to let you decide which you want as /bin/sh Jun 22 20:23:58 (or whatever other debconf mechanisms you have available) Jun 22 20:52:58 Hey, I am planning to buy an Nvidia Jetson TK1, and plan to do intensive Image-processing on it. It comes out of the box with Ubuntu + Unity and all those shit. Moreover, I've used yocto on a old pandaboard before and I love it. But nevertheless, I am not a yocto expert. For this nvidia board, there is no official yocto bsp. But I found one on GitHub. Can anyone plase take a look at it, and see if it is full featured, and a good Jun 22 20:53:13 This is the BSP: https://github.com/cubicool/meta-jetson-tk1 Jun 22 20:54:18 The main thing is that I need CUDA support. Can anyone help me with this? I need to finalise the purchase tomorrow itself. Jun 22 21:09:54 blackfi_sh: that bsp ships the binary drivers, including libcuda Jun 22 21:11:14 @rburton, thanks for responding. Do you see anything that it lacks? Jun 22 21:12:04 rburton, I am just asking it here because I am not an expert at it Jun 22 21:12:56 its got a custom kernel and the binary drivers, that's probably all you need Jun 22 21:15:47 rburton, So it's green light, and I can go ahead with the purchase? Jun 22 21:16:05 blackfi_sh, you are not alone in your quest Jun 22 21:16:29 I ahve a freind working on a build also Jun 22 21:16:33 similar reasons Jun 22 21:16:41 I'm tryin gt help him as I can Jun 22 21:17:02 Crofton|work, can I contact him? I've never talked with someone who owned the board Jun 22 21:17:28 Where exactly is he stuck? Jun 22 21:18:15 last report (a an hour or so agao) was he had a build but needed to test Jun 22 21:19:26 is he on freenode? How was his experience with the OS that came with the box? Jun 22 21:20:04 dunno Jun 22 21:20:16 I told him you are asking in here, but look slike he is afk Jun 22 21:20:23 he on freenode? Jun 22 21:20:40 i see Jun 22 21:20:49 I'm sure oe can make images for it that work :) Jun 22 21:21:16 He using he same bsp? Jun 22 21:21:35 I think he is using kraj's which has some more work I think Jun 22 21:21:42 search github Jun 22 21:21:50 ok Jun 22 21:22:35 I am kindof a noob when it comes to crosscom[iling, eventhough I've build youcto builds before. Jun 22 21:22:57 is making an ISP a complex task? Jun 22 21:27:12 BSP, depends on what you are good at Jun 22 21:27:23 I suspect we can make the ones on github work Jun 22 21:29:03 so then how do they perform against the os provided by the board makers(Nvidia in my case)? Jun 22 21:29:53 perform in comparison to* Jun 22 21:31:27 blackfi_sh: do you plan on having a display always connected and running X11? At least their GL drivers required a running X11 session not sure on CUDA. Jun 22 21:32:21 I wont be having a display at all. No X11 Jun 22 21:34:28 X11 session means what? won't an X11 server running be enough? Jun 22 21:36:15 blackfi_sh: yes but I've had issues with some boards not being able to run X11 if a display wasn't probed and NVidia does not provide RAW framebuffer drivers for GL afaik. Jun 22 21:37:34 Can I fake a display by soldering a resistor or something? I've heard of that before. Never know if it works. Jun 22 21:39:46 it's probed through i2c so no, but you should be able to modify the u-boot scripts. I had this issue on a nitrogen6x board where if hdmi wasn't probed on i2c in the bootloader they'd remove hdmi from the dts (why oh why!?). Jun 22 21:40:31 staylor_, wht are the consiquences of whatever you are saying? in layman words? Jun 22 21:41:33 blackfi_sh: you might need to do some fiddling around to get CUDA/GL working without an HDMI plugged in. More of a heads up than anything ;-) Jun 22 21:42:42 How difficult would that be/ Jun 22 21:44:05 also it just came to my mind, I don't know if it's feasible, but can I send the I2C acknowledgment and fake a monitor by using a microcontroller? Jun 22 22:04:00 sorry I had a connection loss, will see the logs to find if i missed anything Jun 22 22:06:44 Crofton|work will your friend be back anytime sooon? should I wait? Jun 22 22:10:10 I do no thinnk so, I'll let him know you are interested, Jun 22 22:11:30 yes please, It's almost the morning ow, have to get some sleep. I will be back. Jun 22 22:28:23 hm, is there a magic way to get all multilib-variants of library packages into an image? Jun 22 23:05:28 Hello guys. How can I get a list of all the licenses (best case: all the paths of all the license files) of the software baked into my image? Jun 22 23:05:28 I already found build/tmp/deploy/licenses/$imagename-$machine-$date/license.manifest, but this is not really what I am looking for. **** ENDING LOGGING AT Tue Jun 23 02:59:58 2015
