**** BEGIN LOGGING AT Sun Nov 01 02:59:57 2020 Nov 01 05:07:14 ubi1_0 is full. How to increase the size of rootfs ? where is the configuration file ? Thanks. Nov 01 20:27:22 hey all, I'm trying to take a bsp layer thats targeted on the nxp bsp and use it over the community layers instead. Is it better to put my own layer over the top fixing up the bsp where needed, allowing me to get updates, or pull the parts I need into my own? I have tried the former and running into stumbling blocks, how do you overlay a machine .conf with additional defines? can you rename a bbappend in another layer e.g linux-imx to Nov 01 20:27:22 linux-fslc-imx ? **** ENDING LOGGING AT Sun Nov 01 20:38:23 2020 **** BEGIN LOGGING AT Sun Nov 01 20:46:17 2020 Nov 01 22:27:57 kanavin_home: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/json-glib/-/merge_requests/33 :) Nov 01 22:29:03 RP: http://git.yoctoproject.org/cgit/cgit.cgi/poky-contrib/log/?h=akanavin/package-version-updates :) Nov 01 22:30:32 kanavin_home: quite the patchset :) Nov 01 22:30:41 kanavin_home: I did notice the builds! Nov 01 22:31:43 RP: yes, getting there :) it's a product of a) me being on vacation; b) said vacation going totally pear shaped due to surprise governmental lockdown. Nov 01 22:31:51 c) rainy weekend Nov 01 22:31:57 (otherwise I'd be out riding) Nov 01 22:32:52 RP: one error I can't fix is in meta-arm https://autobuilder.yoctoproject.org/typhoon/#/builders/113/builds/408/steps/8/logs/step2b Nov 01 22:33:20 it hardcodes u-boot version in bbappend, so when u-boot gets updated, append can no longer find its own patches Nov 01 22:33:37 rburton: ^^^ Nov 01 22:34:07 kanavin_home: right, this is a pain and we have to rely on the layer maintainers to react quickly ( jonmason, rburton ) Nov 01 22:34:20 kanavin_home: I know what you mean about lockdown and rain :( Nov 01 22:34:42 kanavin_home: I even looked at prebuilt binaries! :/ Nov 01 22:34:58 (to be fair I'm more interested in specifically locked recipes) Nov 01 22:35:37 RP: I'd say meta-arm folks should find a way to maintain u-boot tweaks in a way that doesn't require updating things in lockstep Nov 01 22:53:07 kanavin_home: the problem is that the patches don't always/usually apply cleanly to other versions. Nov 01 22:53:19 Also, lots of work just getting everyone on the same version Nov 01 22:53:23 herding cats Nov 01 22:54:24 jonmason: but you can at least put the version in .bbappend filename: uboot_2020.07.bbappend, then set that to take priority Nov 01 22:54:49 so oe-core upstream updates will not break Nov 01 23:00:38 yes, but juno probably won't boot. Anyway, I'll see what I can do to fix it Nov 01 23:03:46 jonmason: thanks. I know its complicated :/ Nov 01 23:04:41 jonmason: wasn't expecting you to be awake! Nov 01 23:05:59 its only 6pm here :) and irccloud always notifies me on my phone when I'm tagged Nov 01 23:06:50 jonmason: I couldn't manage with that on my phone! Nov 01 23:07:14 not a problem for me, I'm not important like you Nov 01 23:08:20 I get tagged maybe 3-4 times a week. So, its fairly tame. Now getting slack phone notifications at 900 UK time is not fun ;-) Nov 01 23:08:26 jonmason: I'm not important either. I just don't want to know if I'm not at the computer, I spend too much time as it is :) Nov 01 23:08:54 jonmason: I was wondering if it was excluded during the night! Nov 01 23:13:30 you can configure some kind of nighttime thing now on android where it won't notify you after a certain time. Which has saved me from rburton Nov 01 23:18:07 jonmason: I was wondering whether rburton had figured that out :) Nov 01 23:35:58 * RP should sleep **** ENDING LOGGING AT Mon Nov 02 02:59:57 2020
